At the beginning of 2016, I had surgery with the buried-suture method at a local plastic surgery clinic, but it came undone, so I needed revision surgery. Incision scared me, so while I was looking into doing buried-suture again, I got recommended Pop, went for a consultation, and just went for it right away,, It’s only day 8, but there really is a big difference between a local plastic surgery clinic and an Apgujeong plastic surgery clinic (of course, I’m comparing 6 years ago with now, so the standards may be a bit different) Both 6 years ago and now, I had one consultation and decided right away, so my information may be lacking. Please just read my post as, oh, this kind of experience exists too~
1. At the local plastic surgery clinic, there was no separate recovery room What surprised me this time was that although it was a local plastic surgery clinic, I had done it at a neighborhood branch of a franchise dermatology clinic(?), and back then, after the surgery was over, I just got an eye cold pack and went straight to eat. In Apgujeong, there was a separate recovery room, they had me do eye cooling for about 10 minutes, and then discharged me. But this may be because the first time I didn’t do sedation.
2. Aftercare Back then, I went in after a week, met the doctor, took photos, checked the progress, and just went home. There wasn’t even any separate prescription for medicine. But this time, before starting surgery, they gave me a prescription and told me to go to the pharmacy next door to get 3 days’ worth of medicine, and they scheduled swelling laser treatment and swelling injections starting one week after surgery. Interesting. I could even receive them as much as I wanted.
It felt like there were a lot of differences, but now that I’m writing, I can’t remember them. Please ask me more in the comments. I also want to answer and leave it as a record.
