About 10 years ago, I had double eyelid surgery with a partial incision, and over time the double eyelid line naturally started getting buried under the skin When I’m bare-faced or take photos, my eyes look stuffy and like small clam-shaped eyes.. I kept feeling stressed about it, and this time I had some free time, so I went around consulting at plastic surgery clinics.. But the plan I expected and what all 6 clinics said were all different, so I’m really confused
My eyes: narrow distance between the eyes and eyebrows, thick upper eyelid skin so it looks puffier when I smile, slightly sunken What I want: 1. Refreshed-looking eyes, to get away from small clam-shaped eyes (please make my eyes bigger) 2. Line correction
*In chronological order* 1. ㄱㄹㅂ (ㅂㅈㅊ) They checked the current condition of my eyes and said they prefer natural-looking eyes, and said they would make them as pretty as possible - Incision (+ upper canthoplasty), lateral/lower canthoplasty (optional) - Review condition existed - AS 3 years - Photo shoot X - Recommended forehead lift
2. ㄸㅋ (ㄱㅎㅅ) Among the 6 places I went to, this had the longest wait time (about 2 hours?), and there were many foreign + Korean patients Even though the doctor was busy, the consultation was pretty thorough, but they spoke so fast that I couldn’t take proper notes Are they telling me to do this? Or that? A bit of chaotic confusion.. - Non-incisional, upper canthoplasty, lateral/lower canthoplasty (optional) - Review condition existed (the normal price and review event price were so different that I was like, huh..?) - AS 1 year - Photo shoot O - Recommended forehead lift
3. ㅈㅇㅌ (ㅇㅎㅇ) A clinic I was really looking forward to even before going because I saw pretty reviews; the wait was a bit long too, but worth waiting; there were many waiting patients Here.. I came for a revision eye surgery consultation, but the director told me to reconsider the revision eye surgery itself one more time They said they were unsure whether pretty eyes could result if an incision were done because the fat above my eyes is thick, and because my eyes are sunken, they said they did not recommend canthoplasty either.. Instead, here too, I was recommended a forehead lift... The consultation felt comfortable, like having a conversation with the director, but since I was recommended a forehead lift again, the consultation ended with me feeling down..
4. ㅌㅇㅅ(ㅇㅅㄱ) There weren’t many waiting patients, and on the consultation form they told me to write the names of other clinics where I had consulted.. (curious why they do that) Compared to other clinics, they measured and explained the length of my current double eyelid line and muscle length The line they made with their hands was pretty, but I started wondering, is this possible?..() Maybe because I said during consultation that I was worried since every clinic recommended a forehead lift.. The director suggested another method called ‘ptosis correction’ instead of a forehead lift. But because of this, I have even more to think about. At first, during the consultation with the consultant, it felt kind of cursory? But after the director consultation, when I consulted with the consultant again, we talked for a very long time (almost 20-30 minutes?) While explaining the surgical method the director suggested in detail, they seemed to really trust the director It’s also a very famous clinic for revision surgery, and the director is said to perform surgery extremely meticulously, and since they suggested a different method instead of a forehead lift, I put down a deposit for now, but the cost is much higher than what I had expected, and ptosis correction.. doesn’t seem like a surgery to choose lightly, so I’m still thinking about it.

5. ㅌㅂ (ㄱㄷㅎ) Going around to clinics was so exhausting, and every director recommended a forehead lift, plus the surgical methods were all different.. I was mentally so worn out So I thought about canceling the consultation and going home.. but I just went The clinic was bright, which was nice, and maybe because it was in the afternoon, there were no waiting clients The overall consultation was quick The director also calmly listened to everything I was curious about and explained things, and spoke in the direction of trying to make the eyes I want with only revision double eyelid surgery, not a forehead lift? But they recommended ‘medial epicanthoplasty,’ which other clinics had not recommended, so I had another mental breakdown.. Because at other clinics, they all said there was no room for medial epicanthoplasty and did not recommend it..
- Non-incisional/medial/lateral/lower (incisional), ptosis correction not recommended - They said my eyes themselves do need a forehead lift, but for younger people (currently mid-30s), there is a possibility it may loosen sooner, so they don’t particularly recommend doing it now - Review condition existed - AS 1 year - Photo shoot X
6. ㄷㄷㅇ(ㅊㅅㅊ) It was in the same building as clinic 5, so I just went.. It’s a one-doctor clinic, quiet, and there were no waiting clients The consultant was extremely kind, so we talked a lot about the consultations I’d had so far and the parts I was worried about During the director consultation, after looking at my photos, they said they wondered why I came.. They said my eyes already look sufficiently problem-free, but if I want the eyes I’m hoping for, a forehead lift should come first. So I listened to the explanation about the forehead lift the director takes pride in.. and the consultation ended

That’s how my revision eye surgery consultations ended.. If 6 places are recommending a forehead lift, then the answer is a forehead lift.. It may be a surgery the directors talk about casually, but really, cosmetic surgery is absolutely not something you can decide on easily. I’m thinking maybe I should just live as I’ve looked and lived until now.. ^-^..
These days I’ve been seeing so many reviews for ㄸㅋ.. maybe only the successful cases get posted, right? The director’s skill seems unquestionable.. but the review event price seems too cheap? compared to the regular price, so I’m a bit unsure By any chance, is there anyone with eyes similar to mine who was satisfied with only revision surgery without a forehead lift?
