I have protrusive lips, but not to the extent that I’d need double-jaw surgery, so I was really worried a lot. So the alternative I chose was orthodontic treatment, but my teeth alignment wasn’t bad either, so I thought a bit about cost-effectiveness. On top of that, my midface is also long, so I wondered whether retracting the protrusive mouth would really be the right choice. My review after half a year so far is that the difference between the teeth that have undergone orthodontic movement and the teeth that haven’t is bigger than I expected. I’m still at the stage of retracting the mouth, but I think there will be a bigger difference than I had thought.
