A review from one month after surgery~ tada Since it was a second revision rhinoplasty, I had a lot of worries I tend to like a natural look, so I didn’t really have a strong desire to change my side profile much, but from the front, my nose looked too big for my face, so I decided to have revision surgery to improve that part, and I had osteotomy, bulbous nose correction, and long nose correction.
Before surgery, I had a bulbous nose and a hump nose, and although I had previously tried raising the nasal bridge, gathering and lifting the nasal tip, and all sorts of other things, the fundamental problem just wasn’t resolved.
This time, I really wanted to do it properly, so I researched a lot and diligently searched online, focusing on review photos. For the photos, I mainly looked at whether the frontal view improved well, such as narrowing the nasal bridge through osteotomy and making the nasal tip slimmer, and for the side view, I focused on the nasolabial angle. In particular, I looked for a place that could bring forward the sunken area between the columella and the lips well~ because when that area is recessed, the overall impression looks old-fashioned
I liked this hospital’s review photos, but they said they couldn’t tell me which director had performed those cases because of personal information protection, so it was hard to choose a director At first, I had another director in mind, but I booked a consultation first with Director Seo, whose schedule worked for me. The way he spoke made me feel like he understood my needs well and would also perform the surgery well, so I ended up booking the surgery right away
Since I had osteotomy, a big change in the nasal angle, and autologous costal cartilage, the first week after surgery was a bit difficult, but somehow a month has passed, and now I’m much more comfortable. Since I’ve had a lot of experience with nose surgery, I know this will gradually become more natural, so although it feels slightly high right now, I think it’s just right. Especially, I told them absolutely not to raise the glabella area, and I think they listened well.
And was it when I went in at the one-week mark? There was swelling, so they punctured the glabella area and squeezed out the blood. At that moment it hurt enough to make me scream, but the swelling went down dramatically I thought it was better than other hospitals that had just left it alone to be absorbed..
Also, because I thought I’d be curious about the shape after the swelling went down, I had requested that they take some photos in the operating room immediately after surgery before putting on the splint, and they took good care of that too. Right now, my nasal tip seems pointy, but in that photo it was a bit less so, so I feel reassured thinking that after a few months, that shape will come out
This got long, but I was really worried before surgery, so I’m so happy to be writing a satisfying review. It’ll get even slimmer and more natural from here, so I should brag again in a month. Let’s all get prettier~^^
