People said it would hurt and be really swollen, so I was scared, but once day 2 actually came, I am not swollen at all and it does not hurt either. I had it done with autologous costal cartilage, but even the area where the autologous costal cartilage was harvested does not hurt at all. It is like the pain you get when you run after eating? About that much. But not being able to breathe and phlegm constantly going down the back of my throat are so uncomfortable. When I take medicine, I can feel pressure building in my nose, and when I sleep, I wake up every hour. It is dry, so a humidifier is seriously essential, and I have to keep drinking water too. But my nose was originally very low, and even with the splint on, I can see my nose got higher, so I can endure this level of discomfort for a week.
