I wanted to get nose surgery because of my hump, but I had heard so many stories about side effects that if I did it, I wanted to do it without implants~ So when I went around for consultations, I excluded places that said my nose couldn’t be done without implants~,,ㅎ Among the places that said it was possible, I had surgery at a place that could create the line I wanted, an appropriate mix of straight and straight-with-slight-curve,, I chose pretty strictly,,
As you can see in the pre-op photos, my hump was a bit severe, so I had lateral osteotomyㅜㅎ For the nasal tip, septal cartilage alone wasn’t enough, so donated costal cartilage was also used!
Honestly, I think nose surgery is all okay except when you have cotton packing in and a splint on,, For me, even the splint was somewhat bearable, but when the cotton was in, I could only breathe through my mouth, so my mouth got extremely dry, and it felt like I had a sweet bad smell even without eating, so I brushed my teeth five times a dayㅜ It made me realize how precious breathing through the nose is,,ㅎ
Oh, when I had my consultation, the director said that making the nasal bridge look smooth from the side is important, but the line falling from the bridge to the nasal tip also has to connect well for the overall design to come out well. Honestly, when I heard it during the consultation, I was just like, I see,, nod nod,, and only listened, you know?ㅎ
But after getting the surgery, I understood what the director meant,,ㅎ I like the smoother nasal dorsum too, but because the nasal tip doesn’t drop abruptly and is held up sharply, I think the side profile line looks well-shaped,, Of course there’s still some swelling, though,,ㅎ
And for everyone thinking about nose surgery, I really recommend doing alar reduction together,, Since I reduced my alar base too, doesn’t it look really slim from the front as well? My image changed from strong to feminine,, I’ll still have to watch it for a few more months for it to settle, but just looking at the shape, I really think I did well getting nose surgeryㅎ,,
