Legwork for My First Rhinoplasty

With help from a friend, an app, and a forum, I went around for consultations I was tired and wanted to quit midway, but I stuck with it and kept going...

ㅅㅅㅇ (Director ㅎㄱㄴ) The hospital itself was very clean and felt like it had not been open for long. They took a CT and examined my nose, and it was fairly thorough - but the preparation was a bit sloppy. They did not even have cotton swabs, so the consultant had to bring them in midway, and then said there was only one. They said my rhinitis would improve a lot too, but did not really explain what exactly would improve. Still, they were very kind, so I felt good about it. They said I would need donated rib cartilage, so I was like, hmm... and went to the second place.

ㅇㅋㅂ (Director ㄱㅈㅎ) I went here too because I heard it was famous, but first of all I was surprised they did not take a CT. I got tired just talking with the consultant, so I simply did not want to do it anymore. It kept feeling like pressure that was not exactly pressure.. and because her energy was way too high, I just got exhausted. Here they said I would not need donated rib cartilage, so I considered it, but the consultant kept pressuring me to put down a same-day deposit and to take the earliest possible surgery date, so I said I would not do it and went to the next hospital.

ㅍ (Director ㄱㅎㅈ) I hesitated a bit because it is not very famous; it is known for eyes, but for noses... Still, I went after reading reviews. They took both CT and photos, and first of all I liked that the consultant was calm. I had been so tired before this. The director was also kind and explained things I had to ask about separately elsewhere, like the recovery period and anesthesia method, so it was nice that there was nothing left to ask. I talked with the director for quite a long time, and I even felt a bit sorry, wondering if I was holding them up when it was already time for surgery. I wondered if they would use donated rib cartilage, but they explained why I did not need it and said my nose was one that did not particularly need it, so I was slightly leaning toward them.

ㅋㅇ (I do not remember the director’s name..) I guess I was so tired I do not even remember now; this was the consultation that ended the fastest? among the ones I had. I did not bring a specific desired nose shape, and during consultations I only talked about what my complex was and roughly how I wanted that addressed. Maybe because of that, at other places I think the director’s consultation still lasted at least 5 minutes, but here it ended quickly. They said donated rib cartilage is hard to obtain, so autologous costal cartilage could be used, but I am not sure.. There was a consultation fee of 5,000 won.
