After <abdomen, n years later, gained 10 kg, then lost weight again; abdomen> It has been quite a long time since I had abdominal liposuction, and in the meantime, my doctor moved to another hospital, so I’m going to write openly.
My original figure was generally good, but my belly stuck out noticeably, so I ended up getting abdominal liposuction. I chose that clinic because I remembered having another surgery there that went well + it seemed like they didn’t do proxy surgery, so it wasn’t a liposuction-specialized clinic.
I should have run away from the moment they didn’t do a pinch test... sob
Anyway, after the first surgery it seemed to look better for a while, but there was bio-bonding + an uneven shape, so I had a second surgery as a retouch. I should have just not done the retouch either. Ha... I’ll write about this in detail next time when I write a failed-case post.
Anyway, after going through those two failures, I gave up on weight management. Rather than saying I gave up, I didn’t know I would gain this much either ^^ I gained about 10 kg, and this was honestly kind of absurd...
People usually say you don’t gain fat in liposuctioned areas, right? Yeah, that’s true. But I said I gained 10 kg, right? Where do you think all of that went? lolololol
First, the face. Neck. Arms and legs. Buttocks, back, wrists, even fingers, the fat piles on. Those areas have plenty of fat cells and space, so of course it goes there first. That much can happen.
But as I gained more and more and more, there was no space left anymore. My skin was already full of stretch marks.
So the remaining fat... went to my internal organs. They were supposed to go to the abdominal subcutaneous layer, but they couldn’t go there!
Well... some might say, doesn’t everyone have visceral fat? That’s true too. But in my case...
First, my fatty liver got severe. It turned almost completely whitish, making it hard to interpret on ultrasound. Lipomas grew in my uterus, then grew again. Polyps also started growing in my thyroid, and fatty polyps started growing one after another in my colon. (I didn’t have them when I was slim.) Since my digestive organs couldn’t find anywhere to go because of the visceral fat, it eventually broke through the abdominal wall and herniated through my navel. lololololol There was no space in my abdomen to the point of herniation, so then it started moving upward. Even now, I’m anxious about when the diverticulum that formed back then might turn into diverticulitis.
And eventually... fat started accumulating... in my heart muscle.
Once it started going beyond simply hormones being thrown off, immunity decreasing, and that kind of level, I really felt like I was losing my mind. All my internal organs were damaged.
The symptoms above are things that can happen to anyone with severe obesity. But even though I gained as much as 10 kg, I wasn’t severely obese. I was between overweight and obese.
And yet, because they had removed fat from the entire abdomen, the balloon effect didn’t just happen, fat started accumulating even in my organs.
Ah, of course I also gained fat in the abdominal subcutaneous layer that had been operated on twice!^^ Only the areas the doctor missed, like around the navel, pubic area, and under the ribs, bulged out, so I really couldn’t go to public bathhouses...
There’s no excuse for the process of gaining weight. Because of a lumbar disc herniation, I could barely be active, and I should have managed my diet too, but I couldn’t. It was my fault, that’s true. Now I dieted like crazy and the fatty liver is gone, but there are still areas I couldn’t lose...
If there is anyone here reading this who is considering liposuction, please! Even if you get liposuction, remember that you have to keep dieting + maintaining your weight for life. With the mindset of, “I got this pretty, and they say areas that have been suctioned once don’t gain fat again, so wouldn’t it be okay?” you can never go back to how you were before...
People considering full-body liposuction especially must never forget lifelong dieting. If you reduce fat cells throughout the whole body, your hands and feet will gain fat until they feel like they might burst, and the rest will all go to your internal organs.
Please remember that liposuction is for removing localized areas that really won’t go away no matter how much you try, and it is not simply an easy surgery to make your body look pretty.
Always be cautious with plastic surgery!
