Cheekbone Surgery Reviews

Chin Tip and Square Jaw Day 1

I went in at around 11:30 this morning and surgery ended at 2!!

The one hour to one and a half hours waking up from general anesthesia was the hardest part today haha I was sleepy, but it wasn't exactly painful because I couldn't sleep; maybe because they inserted an airway tube in my throat, it was extremely dry... It wasn't that I was struggling because I was a little thirsty, but more like I hated the dryness and that made it uncomfortable? But they said if you drink a lot of water on the first day of surgery, you swell a lot and it doesn't go down, so you should only drink enough to moisten your throat haha

I bought a long, slightly slanted sauce bottle from Daiso, and I drank water with this. If I didn't have it, I think it would have been bad hahaha A portable humidifier helped too. Essential prep items in order: Daiso sauce bottle, neck pillow, portable humidifier, donut cushion

I'm hospitalized all day today and will be discharged tomorrow morning. I still can't tell how my face has changed, so I'm sleeping for an hour, watching YouTube for an hour, and resting comfortably. The director said the surgery went well, so I'm just feeling reassured for no reason haha

I don't know if my pain threshold has gone up from thread lifting and all kinds of lasers so far, or if I just can't feel it because I'm on painkillers and antibiotics now. It feels about as doable as the double-eyelid surgery I had when I was twenty! Maybe it's because I didn't do cheekbones...

But when I move my lower jaw, I feel a tingling sensation, so I'm being careful! I can't really talk using my jaw muscles, so my speech is slurred hahaha Swelling is swelling, but I hope the tingling goes away and my old sensation comes back
