I’ve had a serious complex about my nose since I was young, so after thinking about it for a long time, I decided to get rhinoplasty! I have a bulbous nose + a slightly long nose + a low nasal bridge, and I want definite correction, so I’m hoping for a natural-glam to glamorous style. Rather than the surgical methods, I’ll mainly leave my personal impressions of each clinic
1. ㅍㄹㅁㅇ /ㅊㅎㅅ - It felt like a factory-type clinic and the wait time was way too long ㅜ There were so many people in the lobby that there was almost nowhere to sit.. - The consultant also gave me a subtly unpleasant feeling, and later when I contacted them to ask for my deposit refund, replies came with almost 5-6 hour gaps (only 90% refundable) - The director’s consultation was almost over in 5 minutes? and in the middle, the consultant came in and said he had to go to the next consultation or reservation or something.. - Price was average to expensive
2. ㅁㅎ/ㅇㅈㅇ - Overall it was fine, and the director showed strong confidence that he thought he could perform the surgery well, so I was tempted - But too many options beyond what I had expected were added, so I ruled it out - If using costal cartilage, he strongly recommended autologous costal cartilage - The price was extremely expensive.. - The consultant had strong pride in the fact that an anesthesiology clinic doctor is always on-site - They pressure you for a deposit
3. ㅇㄴㅂ/ㅊㅁㄱ - One of the places I liked the most - The consultant was very kind, but not when I later refunded the deposit (lol.. ㅠㅠ). She had a friendly older-sister style and seemed to trust the director a lot - The director was also friendly and seemed to have the longest experience among the places I visited. He also seemed the oldest, and maybe because of that, it seemed like he would absolutely not push the surgery too far and that safety was definitely the top priority. - Very good aftercare: 5-year AS, swelling laser service every time you visit on days 1, 2, 3, and 7 - No CCTV
4. ㅍㄹㅇㅂ/ㅇㅈㅇ - This was the clinic I most wanted to visit, but due to personal circumstances, it ended up being the last one I visited - Somehow I ended up having consultations over two visits; on the first visit, the director’s surgery ran long, so I couldn’t see him, and I came back again for the consultation. I was annoyed, but that means he’s that meticulous with surgery, right..? And he also did the consultation well, so I cooled off lol ㅜㅜ - When I showed him photos of the nose I wanted, he told me realistically how much of it was possible for my nose. For the parts I was worried about, he gave clear opinions, so I also gained confidence. - CCTV yes, and if you tell them in advance, you can check the full video when you come to remove the splint on day 7 - Visits on days 1, 3, and 7, and I think swelling laser service was provided each time..?
This is absolutely not an advertisement for any specific clinic; I’m really leaving this as someone who seriously had a lot of concerns about a first surgery. I’m easily swayed, so I kept wondering where to do it and my mind changed every time I went, but after going back and forth between 3 and 4, I finally decided on 4..! I personally think they’ll create the trendiest nose line, and that the director/plastic surgery clinic is getting the most word-of-mouth these days, so I finally chose ㅍㄹㅇㅂ. My surgery is in the first week of February, and I’m nervous but also want to get it done soonㅜㅜ Next time I’ll come back with a nose surgery review!
