Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

I’m writing this because there isn’t much information about cleft lip.

Hello~ I had surgery for a cleft lip case. I only had a consultation at ㅁㅅㅇ Plastic Surgery and booked it the same day. ㄱㄹ Plastic Surgery was also on my list, but the KakaoTalk consultation didn’t meet my expectations, so I also ruled out an in-person consultation there.

*Consultation date: August 20 *Surgery date: September 3 *Consultation details: I decided to have asymmetric nose surgery + philtrum/lip scar surgery all at once, and since I already had some nasal bridge height, I decided not to use silicone and to use only ear cartilage. They said if I wanted it higher, I should use costal cartilage, but I didn’t want to create another wound on my body, and the cost would be higher too (about 2 million KRW), so I said I would just do it with ear cartilage only. The consultant was very kind. The consultation order was consultant - director/surgeon - consultant. The director/surgeon was the same as the reviews saying he is chic or unfriendly. But I had watched a lot of videos on YouTube, and I actually liked him more because he was a doctor who clearly pointed out what was possible and what wasn’t. That was also why I decided on ㅁㅅㅇ. The cost was 15 million KRW, and they said it would be 13.5 million KRW after a 10% discount, so I paid a 1 million KRW deposit and paid 12.5 million KRW on the day of surgery.

*Postoperative course They taught me how to compress my nose to prevent a hematoma, and I did it frequently from the day of surgery, so there was definitely no swelling. I brushed my teeth with a children’s toothbrush after two days, and before that I only used mouthwash. They said I could eat regular food after a few days, but because my philtrum was uncomfortable and because of hygiene concerns, I mostly ate thin rice porridge for two weeks. On September 7, the philtrum stitches and the deep cotton packing in the nostrils were removed. On September 8, all external stitches were removed, and the cotton packing and splint in the nostrils were removed. On September 10, the ear stitches were removed. On September 13, the dissolvable stitches inside the mouth and inside the nose were removed or trimmed. From that day on, I ate regular food.

Even after the nasal cotton packing and splint were removed on September 8, I have continued using them until now. I wear the splint only when sleeping, and for the nasal cotton, I use something called Cotton Ball No. 1 almost 24 hours a day to maintain the nostril shape. They told me that because I managed it well, every step was progressing quickly. I’m applying Steri-Strips to the scar area on the philtrum, and I just hope time passes quickly.
