Half by my own doing and half not, I broke my nasal bone while exercising, and I thought, while I’m at it... it would be nice to get the nose surgery I’d wanted too lol People really are.... lol... honestly.... like that, aren’t we? lol
Actually, maybe I had been looking for a reason to get surgery haha To check whether my broken nose could be restored to how it was while also improving it cosmetically, I went back and forth to several hospitals for consultations, then chose one of them and had surgery.
For the surgery, I had the nasal bridge and nasal tip done, along with osteotomy of the broken area and correction of the deviated nose. They said they used a very thin silicone implant for the nasal bridge, and for all the other areas, they replaced it with autologous costal cartilage. Because my septal cartilage itself had become very deviated from this injury, it couldn’t be used ㅠ
At first, I struggled a bit because of recovery, but since it was surgery I had to do to restore my already broken nose, I endured it and got through it haha As I’m entering the 2-month mark, I feel like the shape of my nose is settling into the look I had imagined. It feels like the director reproduced exactly what I told him about my thoughts and the nose shape I wanted, so I’m surprised day by day right now haha
Now I guess I can’t call it a broken nose anymore, right? lol
