Eye Revision Surgery Consultation Review

When I was 20, I had my eyelids pinched with the buried-suture method at a local clinic without knowing anything, and after almost 10 years only the right side came undone, so I quickly decided on revision surgery. My goal was to have surgery during the Chuseok holiday and rest. Since it was revision surgery, I decided, “Instead of the clinic I originally went to, let’s do it in Gangnam this time!” so I searched mainly around the Gangnam area. I ended up consulting at a total of 4 places, one recommended by an acquaintance and places I found myself, and then had surgery. It seems like there may be people considering similar clinics, so I’m carefully leaving a consultation review.

1. ㅇㅇㄴㅋ Plastic Surgery First consultation clinic It was inside an alley in Garosu-gil, and the facilities were no joke. The whole building was this clinic. Maybe because it was morning, it was very quiet and felt like I had come to a cafe.. Consultant-director-consultant order. First, the consultant was very kind, but she recommended a lot of things, so it felt a bit burdensome. She asked whether I had thought about ptosis correction or canthoplasty.. But when I actually consulted with the director, he told me to follow my original line. Since my skin is thin, he recommended the buried-suture method. But when I heard the price, I had roughly expected it, but... I didn’t know it was that expensive. During the consultation they said I could go see other places and decide, so there was no pressure. They recommended buried sutures, high 1 million won range.

2. ㄱㄹㅇ Plastic Surgery Consultant-director-consultant It’s in Apgujeong and close to the station. The facilities did look a bit old.. Maybe it seemed even more that way because the place I had gone to before looked so nice. The consultant didn’t push anything, but it felt like she was consulting while saying what the doctor should be saying. When I went in for the director’s consultation, he only looked. While explaining why it had come undone, he didn’t even try holding a line, and just said that with my current line, I would need ptosis correction and upper canthoplasty too for the double eyelid to show. I was like, huh? Because it was the first time I’d heard that.. I felt this wasn’t it, so I said I’d discuss it with my younger sibling, and left without even putting down a deposit. Buried sutures + ptosis correction + upper canthoplasty (optional), low 1 million won range.

3. ㄱㄴ Plastic Surgery, Director ㅇㄱㅎ Close to Gangnam Station. Consultant-director-consultant My appointment was at 10:30, and there were surprisingly quite a few people. It was the only place where I waited about 40 minutes? But it was bearable. The person doing the consultation was kind, but kind in a mechanical way. Something felt like that. But here, the consultant did not push anything at all and just asked what I wanted to do and what surgical method I wanted. That was it. I liked that. Because at other places, it felt like the consultant was acting like the doctor during the consultation, so it bothered me a bit. Anyway, during the consultation with the director, it felt like he was kind of busy. But the line he held was the same, and I really liked it. He said if I did ptosis correction + upper canthoplasty, my eyes would become overcorrected, so I shouldn’t do it (slightly protruding eyes). They also recommended buried sutures, low 1 million won range. I liked it, so I immediately put down a deposit and booked surgery for Chuseok. But I was a bit bothered that the reservation was in the evening (slightly, slightly felt factory-like...)

4. ㅇㅇㅋㅌ Plastic Surgery Close to Sinnonhyeon Station. Consultant-director-consultant Since it was morning, there was almost no waiting time. I was so tired of going around for consultations while working that I cancelled another place I had booked and went thinking, let’s really just check this one place. First, I liked that it was a private one-doctor clinic, that they mainly do eye surgery, and the director’s background, so I went. To be honest, I was worried because reviews said they recommend ptosis correction a lot. The consultant was friendly, and among all the places I consulted at, this was the only place that took photos of my eyes before the consultation. They held the line several times too, and somehow the director felt approachable. And!! The very end of the left line was set a little higher, and during the consultation, he was the first one to mention it before I did. Honestly, if no one said it, you wouldn’t know, but he said the left end was higher. That comment won me over. Also, he asked me to briefly lower my mask to look at my facial proportions and consulted that way. I really liked it. During the final consultation with the consultant, I was seriously conflicted inside, but they said only buried sutures were having an event, so I cancelled ㄱㄴ and immediately booked. My younger sibling too haha. For my sibling, the price was the same as the previous clinic, and for me, it really was an event price. Younger sibling: incision + ptosis correction (has blepharoptosis) = high 1 million won range Me: recommended buried sutures = 600,000 won range I was actually worried because I had seen bad posts about event prices, but unlike my worries, they preserved my line..

They said they would lower the left line just very slightly so a double fold wouldn’t form, and they lowered it. The symmetry matched, so I’m really happy.. The cost-effectiveness is really I don’t know how it would be for others, but I still recommend at least getting a consultation!!!!

I had booked other places like ㅇㅍ, ㅇㅁㄹ, ㅇㄹㅇ, ㅇㅇㅋ ㅅ ㅅ, ㄱㄹㄷ, etc., but I cancelled because the times and days didn’t work or because I saw a lot of negative side-effect posts.

Right now, my younger sibling and I are very satisfied with the place we had it done haha (not a broker, this is a real review..)
