I did think my monolids had their own charm, but when I made a line by myself with double eyelid tape and a stick, it didn’t look bad. So for almost 10 years I kept debating whether to do it or not, and then I thought if I waited any longer it would turn awful, so I just went for it.
A lot of friends around me said monolids suited me better and that monolids are trendy these days, so even when I talked about worrying over double eyelid surgery, many of them were against it. But after I actually did it, everyone said it turned out well and that I got prettier.
As I got older, I really disliked getting vague double eyelid lines on my eyelids and the big gap between before and after makeup, so I got the surgery, and I’m very satisfied.
But the biggest thing I realized after surgery is that small monolid eyes are still small even if they get double eyelids ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ People who become pretty after surgery were already pretty to begin with and just got prettier, and ordinary people are still ordinary people even after surgery, so you shouldn’t have fantasies about it.
