Before <Before surgery> After <After surgery> Ever since I was young, my nose was short, my nostrils were large, and from the front you could see all of my nostrils, so I heard things like, “It would be good if you got a nose job...” and “For you, even just doing your nose...” a lot. So I had set a goal that I definitely wanted to get rhinoplasty. Since I live in Daejeon, I considered local places too, but I decided that if I was going to do my nose, I should go to Seoul, and I did a lot of online research. I searched for famous places that are good at natural-looking results, good at straight-with-slight-curve profiles, and so on, and visited 5 clinics over 2 days. They were all places you’d know just by hearing the name.... The reason I chose this hospital was that the director pointed out, like an expert, the problems, the necessary surgery, and what could be improved. The consultation time was also the longest, and I felt he was recommending only the surgeries I needed. They took a 3D CT, so I could understand my nose shape and issues more accurately, and most importantly, I could know the size of my septal cartilage and how much could be used, so I trusted them the most. Other places said that even after taking CT scans, my septal cartilage and my own tissue would be enough, but the director said my septal cartilage was on the smaller side, so there was a limit to what could be harvested within the safe range... and that made me trust him. I read somewhere that when they open the nose during surgery and find there’s too little material, some places secretly put in other materials without telling the patient, or after surgery suddenly say they used other materials and charge extra fees; all kinds of things happen. And what I really liked was that they only do 2 surgeries a day! It wasn’t a busy factory-style hospital, and after surgery the director personally came to the recovery room, said the surgery went well, and checked my progress on day 2 and day 7 too. I was really touched~ Anyway, I’m satisfied with everything about the surgery, and my nose shape came out well, so everyone around me praises it, and every time I look in the mirror I feel happy about my nose line. Rhinoplasty is scary and is a high-risk surgery, but there are people like me who are satisfied, so I hope this review helps!! !
