It’s already been one month since my nose surgery Most of the major swelling is gone now, and I’m planning to take a longer view with the minor swelling! I’m originally not someone who swells a lot, but even when I had major swelling, I was satisfied with the surgical result, so I stopped obsessing over the swelling
The hospital where I had surgery wasn’t a large clinic, and there weren’t many reviews either, but there was one review that really caught my eye, so I went for a consultation thinking, just in case I went without high expectations, but compared to other clinics, they spent a long time consulting with me, asked one by one about the line I wanted and my requests, and put something like a cotton swab inside my nose to roughly show what my nasal line would look like after surgery, telling me the line would come out like this. So I went in with no expectations, but got totally drawn in and ended up having surgery there There was absolutely no pressure; they just worked really hard on the consultation, so I wondered if the director happened to be free at that time.... That’s how good the consultation was
Before surgery, my nose had a low nasal bridge and low nasal tip + a long nose (maybe because my nose was low, my midface looked long) I said that was my biggest concern And I wanted my nasal tip to become clearly more defined, so I asked them to pay extra attention to the tip But I also said I didn’t want the tip to be too high or pointed, and that I wanted the shape to be rounded! When we talked about the line, they listened really intently, so I felt relieved
**This is a tip, but during the consultation, you need to be precise when requesting your nose line The worst situation is when the director and I are thinking of different lines...!!** I think it’s best to bring photos of the line you want rather than trying to explain it Anyway, when we talked about the line, they were the most proactive, so I felt reassured
I decided to do the nasal bridge (silicone), nasal tip (autologous cartilage), and long nose correction
They checked everything once again on the day of surgery too I was nervous, but all the staff were kind, so I relaxed a little
After that, I just woke up from sleeping and it was over^^ Only my nose felt heavy
In the recovery room, I came to my senses a bit, received a paper with precautions and guidance on what I needed, and went home Even then, I don’t know if it was because I was out of it or what, but I had no pain!
Until day 2, it was hard because of the swelling You actually swell more on the second day than on the day of surgeryㅜ And they had cotton packing in my nose, so that was hard too.. My nose was super swollen, and having my nostrils blocked made it difficult..ㅎ It was hard to eat tooㅜ So I hoped I might lose weight, but I didn’t
From days 3-7, I was busy getting the cotton removed, getting the splint and stitches removed, and going to the clinic I’ve seen that there are many clinics where you don’t see the director after surgery, but thankfully, every time I went for follow-up, the director personally checked my progress and looked at my nose condition, so I didn’t have anything to worry about after surgery!
I already felt uncomfortable because I couldn’t wash thoroughly, and I thought if I went on walks to reduce swelling, I’d feel even more uncomfortable, so I didn’t do any special care, but the swelling gradually went down little by little
From day 7 until now, the swelling has continued to go down and it’s settling into place After the major swelling went down, I was worried the nasal tip would drop, but it didn’tㅋㅋㅋㅋ
Maybe because my nose became higher, the feeling that my midface looked long disappeared too, and because the nasal tip isn’t excessive, I like it even more because it seems like I became prettier without it looking obvious that I had surgeryㅎㅎ If you only look at the before and after, I look like a different person, but in real life, if I don’t say anything, people don’t really know I had surgery The part I’m most satisfied with is that the nose line came out according to my needs
