Every other place talked about AlloDerm or costal cartilage, but at the last clinic I visited for a consultation, they honestly said my nose is too short and my skin is thin, so even if raising it with costal cartilage gave a satisfying surgical result, within 3-4 years the skin would get thinner and the costal cartilage would show through, or complications would occur. They said even if I have revision surgery using ear cartilage and something like mesh, the nasal tip is going to come down anyway, so I should do it if I’d be satisfied for 2-3 years, and not do it otherwise. They said that even they would have told me 5-6 years ago to just go for it, only thinking about the postoperative result, but over time, I’d end up in a situation where the nasal bridge would definitely have to be lowered anyway.. I’m so torn… Everywhere else said it was fine and possible
