My nose: average nasal bridge, slight hump, drooping nasal tip (arrow-shaped nose), bulbous nose, crooked nose (deviated septum)
I wanted a natural line, so I took a selfie, edited it in Photoshop, brought it in, and showed them. Both places looked at the photo and said this level would be fully possible.
Because my skin is fair and thin, and my nose is crooked, they said that if I used silicone, it would show through a lot and the crookedness would be more noticeable. Both places recommended not using silicone and doing it without an implant. They also said my bulbous nose was likely spread out because of the cartilage. They said tying the cartilage would improve it.
1. ㅋㅇ Consultation fee ? (consultation + CT fee included within the 50,000 won surgery reservation deposit) The consultation manager was very kind. When I asked questions, she explained things in a lot of detail. It felt like she told me more than what I asked? They took facial photos and a CT scan. The director showed me the CT and explained the septal deviation, size, etc., then adjusted the photo in Photoshop while shaping the nose. He explained things very calmly. I did not feel that the explanation was extremely detailed, but he explained all the necessary parts. No pressure to pay a reservation deposit. Surgical method: septal cartilage + ear cartilage if insufficient I heard it would include deviated septum correction + hump trimming + raising the nasal tip + slightly bringing out the lip?? + bulbous nose correction (making the nasal tip slimmer) + excision of the muscle that makes the nose spread when smiling Surgery cost: 3.5 million won (They said the deviated septum part would be submitted for actual-expense insurance, so they would arrange for about 200,000 won to be refunded. No other discounts.)
2. ㅊㄷㅊ Consultation fee 5,000 won (no CT scan) The managers at the counter were a bit unfriendly. The consultation manager and director were kind. Maybe because the director is an otolaryngology specialist, without taking a CT or even looking inside my nose, he immediately said I had a deviated septum. The director’s explanation was very detailed. Here too, the director edited the photo in Photoshop and did a virtual simulation, and it was a little fascinating because he adjusted the Photoshop image very precisely. No pressure to pay a reservation deposit. Surgical method: septal cartilage + ear cartilage if insufficient • Functional - deviated septum + nasal valve stenosis • Cosmetic - hump trimming + raising the nasal tip + lowering the nasolabial angle + bulbous nose correction (making the nasal tip slimmer) Surgery cost: Cosmetic only: 4.4 million won Functional nose surgery: cosmetic 3.9 million + functional 1.8 million (total 5.8 million) No other discounts
I only had time to visit two places, and in conclusion, I decided to do it without an implant at ㅋㅇ.
Both hospitals were fine, but ㅊㄷㅊ was just too expensive... For a first surgery with no procedure history, it was too highㅠ I thought ㅋㅇ was at least around the average price-wise, so I decided on ㅋㅇ.
That is my consultation review, and I will have surgery next week and bring back a post-op review too~
