First of all, I originally had an externally visible inline crease, and what I wanted at the time was to have surgery to make the in-out to semi-out line that I usually made with double eyelid glue! That line would set well if I just drew it lightly, so I said during the consultation that I wanted it that way, and I also said it during the design.
1st surgery (buried method) Other than the inner front of my left eye being too high, it was more or less okay, so I was satisfied up to 2 months haha Looking at it now, only the front of my left eye was too high at the time, so it was really weird though…? Then around 2-3 months, suddenly only the front part of my right eye became the original inline crease. This was the beginning of my double-eyelid-surgery obsession period. It was during the semester, so I had revision surgery around 6-7 months after during vacation! But I shouldn’t have done it, or if I did, I should have done it at another hospital…
2nd surgery (buried method) The right side was revision surgery. For the left side, they said only the front of the eye had a thick line because it was scar tissue, so I got a scar-tissue injection. They originally said they would only partially pinch the front of the right eye, but they ended up redoing the whole eye…? But the new line was way, way too thick, and at the end it bent, so it looked like a sausage. At first they said the swelling was severe, so I also got a swelling injection. Still, not really… After 6 months, the front part had all come undone the same way, but the back part was extremely thick, so there was a huge difference from the left side. The line was more than twice as big? I guess that’s how to put it. Even after 1 year it was similar, and it still keeps having that sausage-like feel.
Still, after some time passed following the scar-tissue injection on my left eye, the front came down and the line I wanted came out! But that only lasted about 2 years… After that, it came undone, so it completely went back to my original eye and only very occasionally sets into the double eyelid surgery line!!! Since then, it keeps alternating between setting somewhere between the double eyelid surgery line and my natural eye, and setting absurdly high up. Today it’s a middle double eyelid… But? The right side is still a bent sausage haha The front line has all come undone, so it’s inline, but there’s a bit of scarring, and the back part of the eye is fixed too strongly, so I guess only the end part is bent. Something like that.
What I’m still curious about is that the line at the back of my right eye was actually pretty okay at first, so why did they pinch it so tightly… The rest, like only the front coming undone, just makes me think it went back to my original double eyelid, so it doesn’t bother me too much, but because of the back part of my right eye I decided on revision surgery! Last time I went around to 6 places for consultations, but this time I’m really going to search through all the reviews carefully and go to even more places for consultations.
And since I think people will ask which hospital it was, I’m writing this in advance: that hospital closed about 5 months after my revision surgery… haha I couldn’t even complain. Anyway, people say double eyelid surgery is like a procedure these days, but I hope you decide carefully!
