Before before after after after I visited 5 hospitals for consultations! What I ended up wanting was rhinoplasty (I had a slight hump, a bit of a deviated septum, a bulbous nose, and a drooping nose, etc..) and facial liposuction. Among them, one was a large hospital and four were private clinics. The reason I chose this place was that, first of all, I was a bit worried about aftercare at the large hospital. When I looked up reviews, it felt like postoperative care wasn’t handled well. Also, they said I had to book on the spot to get a discount, and it felt a bit pushy, so I just decisively cut it out. After visiting 4 additional places,
I ultimately narrowed it down to two places. The reason I chose my top pick was simple. The director had eagle eyes and clearly pointed out a complex I hadn’t deliberately mentioned (when I take photos, my already moon-like face looks even more excessively puffy...) even though I didn’t bring it up in front of the doctor and only said I wanted liposuction, saying it would be good to remove fat here and here. Also, the consultation was calm and gentle (even though we’re both men, I felt comfortable during the consultation), and so on. That’s how the biggest gamble of my life began...
What I requested was, honestly, rhinoplasty plus facial liposuction is a lot of money. I said I’d be so sad if I paid this much and nobody noticed. I’ve lived my whole life getting filler because of my low starting point, so I said I’d rather it look glamorous, even if it looked a bit obviously done, as long as it was at least more noticeable than filler. The result is only one month in, but it’s very dramatic.
1. Nose Honestly, I thought if I went for a naturally glamorous look it might seem bland, and my personality has never had a middle ground, so I was thinking that if it was going to be glamorous, I’d rather it be clearly glamorous. But the director said anything higher than this might look unnatural, so he used silicone 1 mm lower. Even with just this, wherever I go people say, “Something changed about you?? What is it?” Even when I don’t say anything, almost all my acquaintances say that. I took time off work for surgery and didn’t really tell people. When I say I had nose surgery, only then do people who know my before notice. And they say it turned out so well. Isn’t this the ideal of cosmetic surgery... The best thing to hear is
“Your nose is pretty, but if you don’t say you had surgery, people would never know.” So I feel like I got a pretty nose that looks like my own. Beyond whether it’s high or low, the nose really looks like my nose, but pretty. So I’m very satisfied.
2. Facial liposuction It was my first time under general anesthesia in my life, so I just went for it thinking, while I’m doing it, let’s do this too! But honestly, this was also really surprising. My double chin was just deleted... For a while, because of the nasal packing, I only wore the compression band and couldn’t pay attention to it, but the moment I took it off, I was shocked. No matter how much I tried to pinch my double chin, there was nothing to grab... My facial line definitely came alive. I’ve tried InMode, Shurink, Ultherapy, V-OLET, and all sorts of things, but I didn’t see much effect. I thought it was because I’m a man. Like, is everything around my chin just muscle? But actually, it wasn’t. The effects of those treatments had just been mild. This was direct... If my expectation was 100, I feel like the effect was 180 or 200... Now only maintenance is left!
3. Rhinitis I did this just because they said it could be covered by indemnity insurance, but breathing became easier than I expected... Is it just in my head? I feel like I can taste food better too...
If anyone here is thinking about cosmetic surgery, I hope you definitely get a consultation here at least once. I feel it’s worth that much. And even if I turned back time, I’d do it again, because I’m so satisfied with the result. It’s fascinating. I had an ideal image I pictured, and the director shaped it even more satisfyingly than that!
