<Quiet GLAM><A snap in the Note gown>Since there wasn’t really anything to do to celebrate the end of the semester, and my family said they’d give me money, I went around for consultations for breast surgery, which I’d wanted to do for a long time.
I have quite a few friends around me who’ve had a lot of plastic surgery, and they recommended this community to me, so I looked up information here and went to two places, GLAM and Note haha (those two were the closest? Nonhyeon/Sinnonhyeon)
Anyway, it rained all week that week ㅡㅡ so I was irritated, but the people at the clinics were so kind that I held in my irritation, changed clothes, and waited.
To talk about the clinic images first:
Note: It’s huge (huge? maybe not that huge, I haven’t been to many places haha). And they kept playing videos where the directors looked super cool, which was a little flustering lolol I thought it was a movie, kind of like... you know those public-interest ads you see before movie theater ads? It had that kind of grand cinematic feel. The interior was white and pretty~ The changing room was well set up, and it felt like an interior I’d seen when going to a hotel spa.
GLAM: I was at Starbucks and went up when it was time, and the first thing I saw was “GLAM?” written in pink and a phrase like “Trust GLAM.” Maybe because I went after Note, I didn’t get the feeling that it was big, but since it’s a one-doctor private clinic, I think the scale is smaller. I filled out the chart and waited. At Note earlier it felt crowded with people, but here I was the only one even in the changing room, so it felt like I got my peace back lol It was relatively quiet, which I liked.
+For reference, at Note I had the consultation with a female director.
And the diagnosis wasn’t hugely different, but the implant and cc recommendations were different.
First, I’m 164 cm tall, rib cage 70, breast base 11.5~12
Note: Recommended Mentor Boost and Motiva, 330~350 cc Inframammary incision, dual plane
GLAM: Recommended Motiva, 270~285 cc Inframammary incision, dual plane
=> The reasons both places recommended an inframammary incision were a bit different. I don’t remember Note’s reason.. I think they just recommended an inframammary incision because I have a bit of an inframammary fold. At GLAM, they said that plus, when they looked as I raised my arms, there weren’t wrinkles and it was smooth.. They said the armpit seemed more likely to scar, so they recommended an inframammary incision.
And for aftercare and things like that.. writing down notable points:
Note: They said Director Jang is a board-certified plastic surgeon (I don’t know the experience; they didn’t tell me). You have to come in at weeks 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, but they said the director doesn’t personally check the progress at week 3. And for aftercare, they provide both feel/softness care and scar care. They said for hospitalization on the day of surgery, unless it’s someone from out of town having surgery in the afternoon, most breast cases are discharged the same day.
GLAM: They said Director Oh is a breast surgery specialist and has over 20 years of experience, so many people come for revision surgery. They showed several actual revision cases and explained the post-surgery risks one by one.. Hearing that was a bit scary; but I thought that means I need to be mentally prepared before having surgery. Hospitalization is possible with an additional 100,000 won, and they said many people are discharged the same day too. +They provide all aftercare and the director personally checks the progress. I received it as a chart, and if anyone wants it, I’ll add that later too.
Oh, and Note had review conditions, but GLAM didn’t. . It was strictly fixed pricing. Also, when I told the consultant at Note that I had another consultation afterward, she said if I didn’t go there and decided at the table that day, they could discount it more, but I apologized and left. So at GLAM too, in case they might discount it more, I lied and said I had another consultation, but they absolutely didn’t discount it... They just replied that I should look around thoroughly lol
Neither charged a consultation fee, and it took 1 hour to 1 hour 10 minutes, but considering extra waiting time, I recommend setting aside an hour and a half. On rainy or snowy days ㅡㅡ it’s hard to find your umbrella in the umbrella stand (especially at large clinics), so I don’t recommend it, and I recommend going on a day with nice weather haha..
Anyway, I hope this was helpful to someone, even just in case haha. I won’t reveal which clinic I decided on~ Everyone, use both your objective and subjective judgment, get good consultations, and make a good decision!
