I decided to get rhinoplasty because I’m just not happy with my nose overall, but a few questions came up, so I’ll write them down 1) If the columella is crooked, they’d have to rebuild the nasal tip support column and use additional cartilage or reposition the cartilage. Has anyone had revision surgery done like this? One doctor said that if it’s reconstructed like this, the surgery takes a long time and there’s no guarantee the columella won’t be crooked 100%, but would it still improve? 2) It’s my turn for a third surgery now, and when I had my revision surgery, AlloDerm was used on my nasal bridge. They said that because of this, even if silicone is placed back into the bridge this time, there will still be slight unevenness, about as much as now. I’m okay with the current level, you know? But what I’m anxious about is, it won’t get worse than now, right? Especially if they shave down the hump too.. If anyone has experience with this part, please share a review Anyone who used dermis and then had silicone placed in the nasal bridge! Oh, and a lot of doctors say removing the AlloDerm or not makes no real difference… Should I just put it in without removing it?.. I’m torn 3) Lastly, I already have a bit of bridge height around the glabella, so if I get silicone, I’d like it carved so it goes in thinly around the glabella. But one doctor said silicone can’t be carved. Is that right? The clinic where I decided to have surgery says they’ll 3D-print my nasal bone and customize it so the silicone goes in thinly around the glabella the way I want (with a low starting point). But a doctor at another clinic said that if silicone doesn’t go in from the forehead to the glabella area and the starting point is low, <<<the silicone will slide downward>>>. Can that happen? Has anyone experienced this?
