I had my first nose surgery with silicone and septal cartilage, but because the tip became sharp and droopy, and because of the arrow-like nose that gets much worse when I smile, I went in for a revision consultation. I had photos taken and consulted with the doctor to diagnose my current nose, and I felt that he understood my needs very well. Based on the needs he identified, he explained in detail things like how the starting point between the eyebrows would need to be brought down a bit. For the surgery method, he said they would try to use as much of the septal cartilage used in the first surgery as possible, and if that was insufficient, donor cartilage would be used. He also said silicone would be used for the bridge, but if a hollow space forms between the tip and the bridge, a donor dermal tip would be used there. He also said that because my eyes have a lot of epicanthal folds and are far apart at the inner corners, it might not be a bad idea to do a medial canthoplasty together with it. He definitely did not pressure me at all, and rather I liked that he seemed to understand the shortcomings of my face that I had been worrying about. In addition, he clearly explained how many follow-up visits would be needed after surgery, and said they would also provide aftercare support for up to one year after the surgery. It was my first revision consultation, and I was quite satisfied. I think I should also visit other hospitals and decide carefully.
