It’s my first surgery, and I just went for my first consultations. I’ve only been to two places so far, so please use this as a reference if you’re planning to get nose surgery! I wrote this long and detailed because I hoped it would help. Also, I’d appreciate more recommendations for places famous for alar base reduction, reviews of alar base reduction, and so on. ㅎㅎ
ㅈㄷ - head director Has CCTV. For anesthesia, the director personally does local + sedation anesthesia. Review photos - natural, suited to the face, lifted at the angle I want. They took all photos, even CT - examination fee 10,000 won. Consultant - ㅎㅅㅈ Even though I only mentioned the nostril wings and cartilage tying, the conversation kept shifting toward raising the nasal tip. She has a lot of pride in it being a private clinic. Director - did look carefully. But they said the exact millimeters and design method would be decided on the day. Explained with drawings. The director also wanted to do the nasal tip. Since I have a lot of fat in my nose so it’s thick, and my cartilage is on the thicker side too, they said they would cut (!!) and tie the nasal cartilage. They also said the angle was a bit lacking, so the conversation flowed toward putting ear cartilage in the nasal tip. Bulbous nose correction? Cartilage tying + alar base reduction + ear cartilage + nasal tip fat removal = closed 2 million won = open 2.9 million won (3.2 million before discount) There’s a review-photo discount on Babitalk. The doctor said they only do up to 2 rhinoplasty cases a day.
The price is decent, but personally I think the risk is high.. so I don’t think I’ll do it here.

Consultant - the consultant before and after the director consultation was different, so I’m not exactly sure, but based on the text I got, it seems to be consultant ㄱㅎㅇ. Good talker and has a strong vibe… I’m not sure. Director - the director looked very sleepy.. really. Maybe worn out from surgery, but still answered the questions well. They said my nose isn’t thick, more medium, and the cartilage is also medium. Planning to remove 4 mm, plus cartilage tying. Alar base reduction 770,000 won (discounted price) Cartilage tying 1.35 million won (discounted price), total 2.19 million won (looking again it’s 2.12 million, so why did they say 2.19? ;) They said it would be hard to get that price unless I put down a 50,000 won deposit. Refundable for up to 1 year. Originally there’s a photo review condition? attached, but they said I don’t have to because I waited a long time. Compared with ㅈㄷ, it’s definitely a large hospital. It was also hard to book a consultation because there were so many people. It seems bookings are full until mid-January even now.
The places I’m planning to go next are ㅈㅅㅌ and ㅇㄷ. Since the price is burdensome, I’m thinking about doing only alar base reduction first and then deciding whether to do cartilage or not.
