There is a lot of information and many promotions for calf Botox, but not much for upper-arm Botox, so it took me a very long time to decide on a hospital too. Since there are not many reviews and I thought there was not much information to refer to, I am posting mine. I will write in a clipped style.
I had the procedure done at Toxnfill, the chain petite clinic everyone knows, and although there was a branch 5 minutes from my house, after seeing the blog of the director at the Samseong branch, I was about 70% drawn to it, so after thinking about it all summer, I finally went and got it at this point as the season is moving into fall.. Even if Botox causes side effects, it is a procedure that basically returns to normal if you endure 5-6 months, so I went with a half-believing, half-doubting, “whatever, I don’t know” mindset...
Originally I did not have bulky muscles in my arms, but a long time ago I did TRX wrong and in just one day my biceps got these firm bulges, and with the feeling of wanting narrower-looking shoulders, I got injections in the deltoids too. Since it was my first procedure, I started with a consultation with the director. They set the dosage so it would not be excessive, and said that if I felt it was a little lacking after a month, when the effect was being maintained, we could increase the dose next time.
With my arm tensed, they injected directly into the bulging muscle, and right before the injection, they sprayed anesthetic spray briefly while giving the shot.
After getting it, the effect appeared almost immediately. I do not know if it is individual variation, but for me, wherever I get Botox, the treatment effect tends to appear almost right away. The next day, the degree to which the muscle protruded had decreased by half. My arms looked much thinner, so I thought, oh, this is pretty good.
Until day 3, even in ordinary postures, my arms felt stiff and tired. It was not that I had no strength, but it felt like when your neck is stiff; my arms felt stiff and a bit numb, so it was somewhat uncomfortable. After three days it got better, and now that it has been a week, the muscle has decreased by about 85%. Now even when I lift something heavy and raise my arm, my biceps do not bulge up, and my arms look thin. I am satisfied with the biceps!
The triceps effect is minimal. I guess my broad build is not because of muscle but just because of the fat attached around my shoulders.
The director was kind, and explained the answers to my questions clearly and in an easy-to-understand way. The clinic was very clean, and when receiving the procedure, I think it was on the 12th floor, looking down at Samseong Station through the full glass window was also different and nice.
I plan to keep getting biceps Botox regularly.
