Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

2 Years After Full Nose Removal

7 years ago, I had osteotomy and septal extension surgery, and I wasn't satisfied aesthetically or functionally, so 2 years ago I had all the nasal tip cartilage removed and my nose became free of foreign materials. I can make a pig nose (about 70%), I can stretch the columella, and my nose has become soft, but I think it was the softest right after removal (when the doctor explained things after the surgery ended). After that it gradually became hard, then loosened up a lot after about 1 year. But since I had it in for quite a long time before removing it, it fluctuates depending on my condition. It feels soft after I take a warm shower, but when I wake up after sleeping, it gets hard again. Maybe because of scar tissue, when I'm tired I get a tingling feeling at the nasal tip, and I live with rhinitis as a default. During seasonal changes, the inside of my nose stings and clear nasal discharge runs constantly. -> It got much better after doing nasal irrigation about once every two days.

I was told during the pre-surgery consultation that even if you remove it, damage to the mucous membrane does not recover 100%. Even so, I hated living with something hard at the tip of my nose, my philtrum being pulled when I smiled, and that horrible foreign-body sensation so, so much that although I did it late, I have no regrets about removing it... I do feel regret that it would have been better if I had removed it quickly before it fully adhered.

If you are hesitating over removal while psychologically distressed, I hope you get it removed as soon as possible, and if you have not had nose surgery yet, please don't do it!!!!!!! The nose is really not something to touch for cosmetic reasons.
