Now, 6 years later, I regret my nose surgery so much and am considering removal, so I’m writing this because I hope there won’t be cases like mine... The reason I ended up having nose surgery was that I had protruding lips, so I was getting consultations for two-jaw surgery or protruding-mouth correction. But it was a bigger surgery than I expected, and one doctor said that advancing the chin instead would improve the protruding mouth, so I went to the plastic surgery clinic where I ended up getting my nose done.. At first, I went thinking I would only do chin advancement and double-eyelid revision surgery, but I got talked into it by the consultant and ended up adding nose + cheekbone surgery at that hospital too, even though I hadn’t really been thinking about them... lolololololol They said if I did my nose, my mouth could look more recessed, so I was tempted, that’s all..
The conclusion is that now, 6 years later, various side effects are slowly appearing... For the cheekbones, I’ve developed sunken wrinkles along the dark-circle line, and my whole face is sagging overall.. For the chin, the area where I had the T-osteotomy has made the cobblestone chin wrinkles more obvious.. haha
Especially the nose, as you can see in the photos.. hahahaha it’s hopeless. It turned out worse than if I hadn’t done it.. I went around to several hospitals for revision, and they said the hump was not shaved enough and only 0.8-0.9 mm of silicone was inserted.. (Of course, it was a time when implant-free rhinoplasty like now was not common, but then they should at least have properly refined the hump, haha.) It is so stressful that silicone less than 1 mm still shows through when viewed from the front. At the hospitals where I had revision consultations, they said the silicone doesn’t fit my nose and is even floating The ear cartilage has also been absorbed now, and from the side you can see it is in an absorbed state. There is also a step-off and the nasal tip looks droopy.... It became a Squidward nose haha So I went to consultations at several places, but revision surgery usually costs in the 6-8 million won range, so rather than paying that much for revision, I think it would be better to remove everything hahaha Anyway, everyone, when you have nose surgery, I really, really wanted to tell you to research carefully and that side effects like this can happen as time passes.. This is why nose surgery can’t be finished in one go Even if I do it again in this state, there’s no guarantee it won’t turn out like this again.. As for removal, at my previous hospital they said lightly that if I didn’t like it, I could just take it out, so I thought that was all there was to it. But after looking into it, not only can it not fully return to my old nose, but they said depending on how the hump was shaved, it may become uneven And of course, the nose has to be opened again too..
