Before <front> Before <from below> After <front> After <from below> Hello~ I’m here with a fresh same-day review of alar base reduction surgery! In my case, I didn’t go around visiting clinics in person, but I did a huge amount of online research. I looked through so many apps and websites like Na*er, Go*gle, a community, Gang*Unni, You** and more. (I even contacted YouTubers.. haha)
Also, the most important thing I looked for when choosing a clinic was, first, natural-looking results, and second, a place that would correct asymmetry as much as possible. (My nasal asymmetry is pretty severe..) So I narrowed my list down to three clinics that seemed like they either specialized in natural-looking results or would be a good fit for me, and made consultation appointments. (ㅇㄴㅁㄷ, ㅅㅇㅋ, ㅇㅂㅈ, like this!!)
The first place I visited was ㅇㄴㅁㄷ, and I scheduled my surgery date that same day. (I had the consultation on November 16.) They were so kind, gave such detailed explanations that I barely needed to ask anything, did not push excessive surgery, and also matched the natural look I wanted.
So I had the surgery today. Before going in for surgery, I washed my face clean with cleansing foam, took photos, the director applied anesthetic cream, and while waiting I removed my necklace*earrings, then went into the operating room. I was so nervous... my heart rate kept beeping, so I was embarrassed.. The most painful part during surgery was definitely the anesthesia. It hurt.. They injected anesthesia here and there, so tears kept coming out.. haha When the anesthesia was finished, the director wiped my tears with a tissue. After the anesthesia fully took effect, the surgery started right away. Since it wasn’t done under sleep anesthesia, I was even more nervous.. At first, I felt a slight stinging sensation, but then it didn’t hurt right away. I could still feel sensations, though..! Near the end, they said they were going to put something like a thread? into the nasal ala area?? They said this part would hurt, so I thought, “I had anesthesia, how painful could it be?” But? It hurt. For me, it hurt.. Other than that, there was nothing painful! It was over quickly.
From the front or when looking down from above, the asymmetry is less visible, but from below, it feels like the asymmetry is easier to see? Still, I already had asymmetry to begin with, and the consultant and director said I need to watch it for up to 6 months, so I’m going to wait and let time pass.
