Male jaw surgery for facial asymmetry and a long face: regaining my confidence haha

Hello! Thank you for reading my post. It has already been 10 months since I had double-jaw surgery with Dr. Shin Hee-jin at Euiyo Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, so I’m a real patient? haha. I decided to undergo double-jaw surgery because I had always been concerned about my long, cucumber-shaped face and generally slightly crooked facial shape. In particular, I had facial asymmetry because the left and right sides of my jaw were not aligned. I had orthodontic treatment before, but it felt different from what I had imagined, so I continued to worry about my bite and jaw position. I decided on surgery because I wanted to improve the long face shape and asymmetry that had bothered me for so long. Since I had considered it for a long time, I researched hospitals carefully. After gathering information, I decided to have surgery with Dr. Shin Hee-jin! Seeing the weather turn chilly again after the Chuseok holiday brings back memories of preparing for surgery around this time last year. Time really flies lol. At present, I’m doing well without any noticeable side effects or major discomfort, and above all, I’m satisfied that my facial shape changed naturally after surgery without looking excessive. I used to worry a lot about my appearance because of my long face and facial asymmetry, but after surgery, I feel that not only my appearance but also my mindset has changed considerably. Recently I even got a haircut and dyed my hair at the same time. In the past, I probably wouldn’t have tried that easily because I worried people’s attention would focus on my face lol. These days, I somehow feel more confident, so I’m taking on things I used to hesitate about one by one. When I decided on double-jaw surgery, I never expected to feel this much more at ease, but now I’ve naturally adapted to my changed facial shape and am living comfortably and happily without major inconvenience. Of course, not everything changed because of one surgery, but for me it seems to have become an opportunity to try various things with a new mindset. I’ll keep working hard without losing this positive attitude!! These days daily life is enjoyable and my mind feels much more at ease, so I really love these ordinary everyday moments 😊
