3 types of rhinitis surgery + hump removal + nasal tip septal cartilage surgery, and about 2 weeks had passed.
I'm a man, I didn't know much about cosmetic surgery, and my nasal bridge is on the high side, so the purpose of surgery was rhinitis and the hump. (My hump nose happened because I hit my nasal bone hard in elementary school, so it became an acquired hump + deviated nose.. I didn't go to the hospital back then, so it grew like this)
Because I had a deviated nose, my nasal breathing openings were very asymmetrical, so rhinitis surgery was the main purpose.
But they said they would raise the nasal tip just very slightly to make the line, so I didn't think much of it and said okay.. I shouldn't have done that.
I thought nasal tip cartilage just meant adding a little support, but it wasn't that.. I didn't even know I wouldn't be able to make a pig nose.
After enduring the hellish cotton packing and nasal congestion, I had the splint removed at one week.. wow.. because of the swelling, it was totally a huge nose itself.
So I waited two weeks until the internal stitches were removed, and the swelling on the nasal bridge had almost gone down, with only nasal tip swelling remaining.
But I absolutely couldn't tolerate the hardness and foreign-body sensation of the cartilage. They said it would improve later, but when washing my face, touching my nose,
or laughing broadly, I hated that feeling so much. They said the nose shape came out well, but it wasn't a low nose to begin with,
and I had no greed about the nasal tip.. so I immediately made up my mind to get early removal.
On the day I went to get my stitches removed, I consulted with the director and said, because of this and that, I need to have it removed.
They said everyone feels a foreign-body sensation and it gets better with time. Personally, the line came out really pretty, so it would be a shame to remove it. How about waiting about 6 months?
They spoke very kindly, but I firmly said the discomfort was harder for me than the line shape, so please remove it.
Once I said it firmly, the director also said, since the patient feels that way, we should do that for you, and accommodated everything. They said each person has different priorities.
Then they scheduled the surgery right away for the next morning.
The next morning, I had the removal surgery under sedation and rested at the hospital for about 2 hours before coming home.
Compared with the first surgery, it was extremely comfortable. There was no cotton packing inside the nose and no bleeding. Almost no facial swelling either.
Especially, there was no splint, and the bandage was attached much more simply than in the first surgery, so it was comfortable. Maybe because they didn't touch the nasal bridge and only touched the nasal tip.
(The first surgery included 3 types of rhinitis surgery.. they had to correct my deviated nasal bone, so I had a splint on for about 8 days.. that was really pure suffering)
Because it was inevitably an open surgery, the nasal tip is red and swollen, but from the first day, breathing is not difficult?
I just came home and ate normally. The foreign-body sensation in the nasal tip disappeared right away, and laughing doesn't feel awkward either.
After the anesthesia wore off, the columellar incision area hurt a bit, but I think it'll be okay if I just endure it for about a week.
I wrote this without much structure, but in conclusion, I think getting early removal was very much the right choice with no regrets.
The hump was shaved well, and the rhinitis surgery is personally very effective. (My nose isn't blocked when I wake up.. it was very bad before surgery)
I'm also grateful to the director who readily set a quick surgery date and handled it when I said I wanted removal.

They say the nasal tip drops when you shave a hump, and usually.. since the nose that had felt high because of the hump was shaved down, subjectively it feels slightly lower, but there's no big difference.
The image is almost the same, I would say? Before removal, because of the overly high nasal tip, my image was completely different, but that has returned.
And since the nasal tip was opened twice in a short time, there is still a lot of scarring on the columella.
In about 2 weeks, after the swelling goes down a bit and I have the follow-up, I'll write another review.
