I finally got the cotton removed today... For two days, I had to sleep sitting up, so I barely slept at all, and I was so stressed out in the early morning... Suddenly it was so hard to breathe and the inside of my nose hurt too, so I think I barely slept on the second night ㅜㅜ
My appointment to remove the cotton was in the morning, so I quickly went, checked in, and waited, then they called my name and I went into the treatment room..
Wow.... It hurt so, so much that tears ran down my cheeks.. I screamed without even meaning to, and I thought the nerves in my eyes were being pulled out... I had no idea the gauze had been packed that deeply... sob ㅜㅜ But the moment it was removed, it felt like the inside of my nose opened up completely.. Refreshing.. But the left nostril, where the nasal congestion symptoms had still been severe, didn't feel as refreshed..
Even after taking out the gauze/cotton, they put in hemostatic cotton and I waited 20 minutes, and the inside of my nose kept stinging, with nasal discharge & blood dripping nonstop~ In the middle of all that, I actually dozed off a little.. lol
The bruising under my eyes turned red and yellow, and my cheeks & the nasolabial fold area where I had the paranasal augmentation surgery are very swollen ㅜ The position & angle of the nasal tip look okay, but I'm worried the part where the nostril wing position was corrected might scar... sob
Every 3-4 hours I have to change the wet gauze on the stitch area (gauze with ointment), and I also have to change the drip-catching gauze, so my skin has turned red because of the taping ㅜ ㅜ This too shall pass..
They told me to do cold compresses until day 5, so I'm gently doing that after coming home...
Still, I should be able to sleep a bit more comfortably tonight, right..?
