I'm really not a broker (I can swear on everything; if I'm a broker, may all the cosmetic surgeries I had fail), and I only joined this community to read reviews, but it seemed like most people had the same concerns as me, so I'm leaving a post.
When I was in 8th grade, I didn't know anything and was led by my mom to get double-eyelid surgery in a local area, and my eyelids turned into huge sausages.
I lived with those eyes for over 7 years, and it was so stressful that I thought, this is the last time, and worked hard going around for consultations before getting revision eye surgery.
For me, aside from whether the consultant was kind and things like that, I think I looked at the personality or character?? of the director who would be operating on me. I thought that if someone treats patients with care, they would probably put effort into the surgery too. Of course, I could tell acting apart. Honestly, you can tell when it's acting...
After that, I finally chose one place and quickly had revision surgery. That's how much of a complex it was for me.
But after the surgery ended, the stitches were removed, and the swelling started going down a lot, I'm so satisfied. It feels like I got exactly the eye shape I wanted??
For reference, I had revision double-eyelid surgery + posterior canthoplasty + lower canthoplasty. Tomorrow I'm going to get the canthoplasty stitches removed^^... I heard removing canthoplasty stitches hurts, so I'm really scared^^...
But I think I really understood what people mean when they say you need to get it done at a hospital that's truly good. Even removing the double-eyelid stitches didn't hurt at all, and the director is always kind... The swelling is from an incisional surgery, but I swelled less than my first double-eyelid surgery (buried suture method). Except for bruising, you could pretty much say there was almost none.
At the place I went to, every time I went for aftercare, I saw the director, and they checked my progress carefully too.. And during surgery, there was absolutely no proxy surgery. They even showed me the director coming into the operating room, woke me up during surgery and had me keep opening and closing my eyes... I also liked that they spoke kindly, like, this part may hurt a little~ let's hold on just a bit.
They were very kind, and I like the result too. I'm praying the remaining minor swelling goes down quickly!
And I saw a lot of posts in this community saying that once surgery is over, the consultant pretends not to know you and things like that, but here, even though it's kind of?? a factory-style clinic, there was none of that pretending not to know you. If anything, it felt like they were helping so the swelling would go down quickly and complaints wouldn't come in? lol...
What I want to say is, people who are agonizing over revision eye surgery should just get it over with as soon as possible! I feel like a long-standing burden has lifted, and even though I still have stitches left, I'm happy...^^
