I should have researched carefully and been cautious from the beginning. At this point, all I can do is blame myself for not having enough prior knowledge or actively investing enough time. Since it can’t be 100% satisfying, I thought I should just live with it as is, but whenever I lower my upper lip, the flesh under the columella protrudes enough to bother me. I looked up the hospital to check it, and it says the hospital has closed. On top of that, I got the unexpected and shocking news that the hospital director had passed away. For the first surgery, I used ear cartilage, but it was so subtle that even close acquaintances couldn’t tell I had surgery, and something hard started protruding at the tip of the columella like a pimple. They said they would do revision surgery for free, so for the second surgery I used costal cartilage and made it a bit more noticeable. Even now, the costal cartilage area below my right rib hurts or feels uncomfortable whenever my condition is even slightly bad. If I wear a crop top, the scar is quite visible to the point that it feels burdensome. Really, really, really.... Any surgery that involves putting an implant in the body should truly be decided carefully after personally visiting more than 10 clinics. You need to carefully check the hospital website for where the doctor did residency and became a specialist, and carefully consider their education and previous hospital experience so there is at least less chance of regret or failure. If those education and career details feel uncertain or are not written properly, you should filter out almost all of them, and I sincerely think it’s better to reconsider.
