I have a bulbous nose!!! This got long as I wrote it, but if anyone here has had surgery at any of these places, please make sure to leave a comment ㅠ.ㅠ Think of it as saving one person... please...
1. ㅁㅇㄷ(Director ㅇㅇㅌ) Implant-free + bulbous nose + short nose + osteotomy + alar reduction CT yes. They explained by drawing on top of my nose photo. Septal cartilage is sufficient. No silicone (my nasal bridge is sufficient, so they won't raise it, and will only lift the nasal tip). The nostrils/alar base will become 20% smaller (even with swelling 2 weeks after surgery, it will be smaller than now). It won't look like a pinched nose. CCTV, aftercare yes (unlimited laser for 2 weeks. Sebum-care service.) Revision/AS 1 year (only anesthesia fee charged) But this was the only place that didn't mention a hump ㅠ (that bothers me) The consultant has huge pride in the clinic... ㄷㄷ The clinic is the widest and has the best facilities
2. ㄹㅋㅋ Silicone (1.5 mm) + ear cartilage + hump + bulbous nose correction + alar reduction No CT. They explained by photoshopping my nose photo. No effect from bulbous nose correction. There isn't much internal tissue, just a lot of flesh on the nose. My nose moves when I blink (I don't know what they meant or why they said that... They told me twice to make sure to take a video and check...) It would just get a bit higher, not a big difference. The doctor said not to believe everything other doctors say exactly as-is. Silicone 1.5 mm (I need to use silicone at least. Because bulbous nose correction won't work... They said if I don't use silicone, there is nothing to do...) Alar reduction yes. But they'll do it conservatively because it can't be reversed (the consultant said this). A scar forms, but it's under the nose so it won't show much. They told me to look at the blog. No aftercare at all. Revision/AS 1 year. CCTV yes
3. ㅂㄴㄴ(Director ㅊㅇㅊ) Bulbous nose correction + nasolabial angle correction + nasal tip defining-point correction + hump + osteotomy + silicone (3 mm) Possibility of donated rib cartilage No photoshop. They only showed the shape with a cotton swab. Alar reduction, is it necessary? If I want, I can do it. But there is no need to do it now, and I can do it after 6 months once residual swelling goes down. They shaped my nose with a cotton swab. It became slimmer. Seriously, if it comes out just like this, I'd like it. I asked the doctor if this nose shape could really come out, and they said it's possible. When I told the consultant that another clinic said bulbous nose correction wouldn't work, they said my nose would turn out really well and even people worse than me turned out well. (Can I believe this..?) They showed me lots of before-and-after photos of bulbous noses (bulbous noses with a lot of flesh). All had good bulbous nose correction. CCTV, aftercare (3 times. Antibiotic injection. Swelling laser, sebum care)
4. ㅂㅇㅂ(Director ㅇㅇㅁ) Hump + osteotomy + silicone + nasolabial angle correction CT yes. Thin silicone (if I don't use it, the bulbous nose effect decreases) No alar reduction. Possible later if I want. Septal cartilage is good. But it is a bit deviated. Septal cartilage + ear cartilage (the ear cartilage is a bit thin but quite okay/good). Thick nasal skin. There is asymmetry. 3-4 surgeries a day As the doctor left, they said they would make it prettyㅎ But even though they were wearing a mask, the doctor looked young...
5. ㅁㅎ(Director ㅇㅅㅎ) Implant-free + ear cartilage + septal cartilage + ear dermis + hump + osteotomy + bulbous nose Only CT was taken. They didn't take photos. No silicone (if I want to use it, they would custom-make a very thin 1-2 mm piece and use it). My septal cartilage is deviated but sufficient. Rhinitis? Turbinate? Anyway, if that gets only a little bigger, my nose gets blocked. If I get nose surgery, the chance of nasal obstruction is 10-20%. If I have indemnity insurance, they would also do rhinitis surgery. (But I don't have indemnity insuranceㅎ) If I want, I can do alar reduction later. Rather than nasal flesh, my nasal skin is thick. If I want to lower the columella, I can, but it doesn't work well with ear cartilage. It is possible with rib cartilage. They shaped my nose with a cotton swab. I liked it. (But the shape is similar at all clinics). Only this place mentioned ear dermis! The consultant has really huge pride in herself and the doctor.. ㄷㄷ She just told me to do it here..... But it's the most expensive ㅠㅠ CCTV real-time viewing possible for 5 minutes. Aftercare (sebum, swelling laser, 3 free swelling IV drips). Revision/AS 1 year.
Honestly, I don't have much desire for a high nasal bridge, and the frontal effect for my bulbous nose is soooo!!!!! important, so I'm leaning toward clinic no. 5 because they don't use silicone and the risk of side effects is lower... Which place looks okay to everyone?? But one thing that bothers me is that clinic no. 2 said the bulbous nose correction effect would really be minimal..... What if it really doesn't work...? ㅠㅠㅠ I do want to go for consultations at a few more clinics, but since I live outside Seoul, I don't think I can.. (It's a 6-hour round trip) Please leave lots and lots of comments
