I’m leaving a post because it seems like many people here are curious.
But just in case there are friends who might recognize my face, please understand that I’m only writing this in text!
As of today, it has been exactly 28 days since my nose surgery lol I really wish I could already be at the 3-month mark, when even the residual swelling is all gone ㅠㅠ
Reason for surgery - Honestly, I thought about surgery so much.. My nose was small and low, but it suited my face well. It was a round, baby-like nose, so I actually liked it in its own way. - Then my male friends kept saying, “You’d be gorgeous if you just got your nose done, it’s such a shame” ㅠㅠ Usually guys would look more at overall harmony, but because they kept saying things like that, I wondered, “Is that really true?” - But I had seen a lot of posts saying never to touch your nose, so I was only thinking about it and had no intention of actually doing it. Then recently, my friend came back after getting nose surgery without an implant. It looked so natural and pretty that I started going to consultations as if I were possessed.
First consultation - Like many people say, I listened to the director explain his aesthetic standards and then had time for questions. (For reference, I searched through all the posts in this community and read the blog three times before going.) - Honestly, I had heard that the director sends back about half of the people who come for consultations, saying they don’t need surgery, so I was secretly hoping for that. If he told me I didn’t need it, I was planning to give up with a clear mind, but he said something along the lines of that I would be prettier if I did it lol ㅠㅠㅠ Why me... - He said that right now my face has a cute, baby-like image, but after getting my nose done, I would have a pretty image more like a young woman around my age. But he also said there is no such thing as 100% satisfaction, and that my image would definitely change from now, so I should think about it a lot! - Oh, and the surgical standards I pursue matched well with the director’s.
> I like my current image, and I’m scared of silicone, so I don’t want to use it : He immediately agreed, saying that if silicone were used on my face and the nasal bridge starting point moved toward the center of my eyes, I could look too mature.
> I don’t want to use my septal cartilage : He said he had no intention of doing that. The plan was to use only ear cartilage + fascia.
Also, the director thinks a slightly hump-like nose, rather than a perfectly straight nose, looks natural and pretty, and that fit well with me too! He definitely reflects this during surgery, but I think people will be very divided on this, so keep that in mind.
Second consultation - Honestly, I had read the whole blog, so I barely had anything to ask lol I said Kim Yoo-jung’s nose was pretty and that I wanted that kind of feel: a round and cute-looking nasal tip + but I didn’t want it too upturned like a beoseon shape + I don’t like long noses + I wanted to improve the spread-out look. - The director also immediately said okay, saying that if I wanted a big and flashy nose, he wouldn’t do it for me (reason: it wouldn’t suit my face). He said if I didn’t have any questions, I didn’t have to force myself, and that I could ask more on the day of surgery. - So I also asked a bit about other complexes I have about my face. He definitely looks at facial harmony well.
Day of surgery - I just showed him a photo of Kim Yoo-jung and said, “Please do it with this kind of feel..” For reference, I regretted not saying the detailed points for about 3 weeks lol - I think the surgery took a little over 2 hours, and maybe I have the right constitution for surgery, because aside from the first day afterward, nothing was particularly hard!
After that, because of the splint, I couldn’t see the shape, so I just held out for the day the splint would be removed.. But when the splint first came off, I almost cried ㅠㅠ
I had strongly emphasized that I liked a natural look, but it looked so unnatural and my nose looked bent. I really thought I was in big trouble, so I spent the whole day searching only through this community.. I think I lived like that for about 2 weeks. I was so stressed that I spent a long time thinking I shouldn’t have done it.
On day 14, when I went to get the internal stitches removed, I briefly saw the director. As soon as he saw me, before I even said anything, he told me not to worry because the swelling would go down more lololol He told me to massage it well ㅠ Maybe it looked swollen to him too..
The conclusion is that even just a few days ago I was constantly searching whether the nasal tip comes down, but today, on day 28, my satisfaction is really high hehe. It’s exactly the kind of nose I wanted!
Of course, if you ask whether my satisfaction is 100, it’s not lol The nasal tip swelling is still there, and when I open my eyes in the morning and look in the mirror, only my nose looks like it’s floating, so I sometimes think I shouldn’t have done it ㅠ Still, based on how it looks in the evening after the swelling goes down, considering only ear cartilage was used, I think my satisfaction is around 80-90!! It feels like I got prettier to the extent that my complex improved while my original image is still there!
And the parts that still need more improvement? are:
1) Maybe because the depressor muscle of the nasal tip was cut, my upper teeth still don’t show well when I smile, so smiling feels awkward.. I’m holding out, hoping this might get a little better by 3 months. If anyone here got better, please reply ㅠ
2) My nose pores are destroyed.. My pores were already on the wide side, but wow, seriously... I had heard that nose surgery makes pores look wider, but I didn’t know it would be this bad. Now even primer doesn’t cover them.. I’m planning to go to a dermatologist at the end of the year for pore treatment. I think it’ll cost several million won, but they say pores are given by God, so honestly I’m a bit worried ㅠㅠ This is stressing me out so much..
3) There is still a bit of nasal tip upturning, so I’m going to keep watching this long-term too! It still feels a little awkward lol
Right now I’m uploading this saying I’m satisfied, but I can clearly picture myself tomorrow morning looking in the mirror and sighing deeply again. It’ll look much more natural by the end of the year, right? lol ㅠ
I received a lot of help from this community, so I’m leaving this post hoping it can help even a little! If I get a chance later, I’ll post again.
