I had eye revision surgery with Director Kim Sun-woong, who is famous as Doctor Vendetta. My first surgery was in 2016 with Director Kim Sun-woong using the buried suture method, and before the surgery, the director told me to keep in mind the possibility that it could come undone. The director said that doing the surgery with an incision from the beginning and then having revision surgery later would be difficult, but having surgery with the buried suture method first and later doing an incisional surgery would not be a major problem, so I went ahead with it right away. At the time, I had the surgery at a much lower price than at other hospitals. I lived very satisfied with my eyes for about 4 years after the surgery, but one side came undone. After that, this September, I had surgery again with the director using the incisional method, and he charged me only the first-surgery fee, not a revision-surgery fee. The surgery went well, exactly like the double-eyelid shape I had expected. He gives very long consultations. People having their first consultation with the director may feel a bit caught off guard. When you consult about a surgical area, he says things like, “Do you really need to have surgery?” and “I think it would be better not to have surgery.” He is an honest person. There is no consultation manager or anything like that at the hospital, and the director himself handles the consultation, even the surgery cost. On top of that, when he said he only performs two cosmetic surgeries a day, my trust in him went way up. He tries to understand exactly what shape the patient wants, and he explains the surgical method in great detail, including how the surgical area will be incised and by what principle the shape changes. It was beyond reasonable; I had the surgery done well at a price far cheaper than the surgery fees at factory-style plastic surgery clinics in Gangnam, and I am very satisfied with the result.
