Before before before after after after after before On July 18, I had revision eye surgery and nose surgery at a plastic surgery clinic. My eyes had come undone after surgery at another place before, so I had natural adhesion double eyelid surgery at this clinic, and my low nose was a complex of mine, so I used ear cartilage and silicone (2NOFIT) to raise it by 4 mm. It has been about a month since the surgery haha
While looking into plastic surgery clinics, I mostly did online research and went to consultations at 4 places. Since I had to have my eyes and nose operated on at the same time, I wanted a doctor who was good at both, a place with good aftercare (where I could see the doctor after surgery and at each follow-up), surgery that would not be excessive, kindness, and a natural-yet-polished look haha. And for the doctor, I wanted a middle-aged doctor who was not too old but also did not have too little experience. The clinics I visited for consultations were also good places, but if I liked the eyes, I did not like the nose, and if I liked the nose, I did not like the eyes ㅠㅠ Then I found out about this clinic, and I liked the clean eye lines and the nose, which had a straight-to-semi-straight feel close to a straight line + a natural-yet-polished feel, so even before going, I thought that if it seemed okay, I would just do it here, and then I visited.
When I first entered the plastic surgery clinic, I liked the kind and relaxed atmosphere. Without any waiting time, I went straight into a consultation with the consultant and briefly talked about any illnesses and what kind of design I wanted. Then I went into a consultation with Director Kim Da-alm, and oh my gosh, he was so kind!! It was raining so heavily that day that there was a heavy rain advisory, and the doctor asked if I was okay because it was raining a lot. Also, since I take psychiatric medication, he carefully worried about my mental health too, asking in a way like, if I had nose surgery, it might make me more preoccupied with it, and whether I would be okay. I was touched by that haha.. When I said I was okay, from then on we went into the surgical consultation. First, he said that because of the medication I take, anesthesia might not work, so he told me to look into it. Other hospitals had not paid attention to that kind of thing, so it really stood out in comparison. As we were consulting like that, Director Kim Da-alm’s fingers were long and slender. I got a strong feeling that this person would perform surgery delicately and well, so I made up my mind that I should do it here and paid right away lol Then I designed the custom nasal silicone (2NOFIT) with the doctor and went home.
Ta-da, finally the day of surgery. I was so nervous ㅠㅠㅠㅠ.. All kinds of thoughts were running through my head.. But even in the middle of that, what I really liked and was thankful for was that Director Kim Da-alm kept saying encouraging things! The nurses were also so kind, and everyone was sweet. I was extremely nervous, but since everyone beside me kept saying it was okay and that it was going well, I felt a bit reassured. And I woke up in the middle during surgery, but the doctor performed the surgery until the end.
After the surgery ended, I went home, and as the anesthesia wore off, it hurt so much ㅠㅠㅠ My nasal passages are narrow, and I think it hurt because they had put large cotton packing inside. The next morning, I went straight to the hospital and had the cotton packing removed, and it felt a bit better. For a week, I could not wash my face, so it felt a little frustrating, but it was bearable lol. After about 2 weeks, the bruising and swelling went down to some extent. I drank pumpkin juice every day, and for the first week, I did cold compresses every day. It was also fun waking up every morning and checking the swelling. The swelling was different every time I woke up lol. Now it has been about a month, and there is still a little residual swelling. But people around me say it turned out so well, and at the place where I work part-time, I hear customers tell me I am pretty a lot… (I am embarrassed, but I will brag.. just a little haha) After getting surgery and hearing that I am pretty so often, I feel good every day hahahaha. Recently, I went to the hospital for my 1-month follow-up, and the doctor examined me as delicately as always. It was really hard choosing a hospital while doing online research and going around to consultations, but I think I made a good choice!!!! That is all for now~
