I was stressed because my alar base was wide, so I looked into various things, had a consultation with the director, and proceeded with alar reduction haha. To start with the conclusion, I’m extremely satisfied lol. Most reactions from people around me are that it doesn’t look very obvious, and they thought I had my nasal bridge done rather than my alar base. I guess because my alar base got smaller, my nasal bridge looks higher. The alar base that was my complex got smaller, my nose turned out even better than I expected, and people around me say my image changed to look more refined, so I feel good.
For about 3 days after surgery, there was a bit of a throbbing feeling around the alar area, but after the stitches were removed, there was no pain. Now that 2 weeks have passed, a lot of the swelling has gone down and my nose looks natural. I’m satisfied because the scar is barely visible too.
