Review of getting SMILE LASIK for the first time in 33 years~ (S&U Eye Clinic, Dr. Jung…

I received SMILE LASIK surgery from Director Jung Eui-sang at S&U Eye Clinic.

I’m getting married this November, and thinking about the future, I felt that if I’m going to raise a child, it would be better not to wear glasses than to wear them. More than anything, I go to Ocean World or water parks every year with my girlfriend, and recently there was an incident where I lost my glasses in the wave pool. Also, when lying on the sofa at home watching TV, my glasses felt so uncomfortable that I made a big decision. An acquaintance had surgery at this hospital and recommended it to me, so I ended up having the surgery.

When I first visited, they did basic tests to check what kind of surgery was possible and the condition of my eyes. At first, I was flustered and tired because there were so many tests, but the people doing the examinations were so kind while checking everything that I was able to get through the tests well. After the examinations were over, I had a consultation about what surgery was possible, and the director gave the final consultation. Then after waiting a few minutes, I entered the operating room and received the actual surgery, and it really ended much faster than I had expected. It also wasn’t scary and didn’t hurt.

After treatment, on my way home, the anesthesia gradually wore off and my eyes started to sting. Since they said it’s best to keep your eyes closed at first, I lay in bed all day and tried to reduce eye fatigue. I think I struggled for about a day, and then a few days later I went to the hospital for a vision test and got 1.0, so I was really happy. It felt like the world looked different. Also, some people said their eyes were dry after surgery, but I didn’t really have anything that I would call dry eyes, so that was great.

I had SMILE LASIK at age 33, which I guess could be considered late, and now I regret it, wondering why I didn’t get SMILE LASIK in my 20s. So personally, I think I would recommend getting SMILE LASIK faster than anyone else in your 20s. If there are still people thinking about it, I strongly recommend getting SMILE LASIK soon.
