Review of Three Consultations for Functional Rhinoplasty (ㅇㅍㄹㅅ, ㅁㅇㅌ, ㅋㅂㅈ)

First of all, my nasal septum is severely deviated. I’m focusing more on function, and since my nasal bridge isn’t low, I prefer the feeling of only touching the nasal tip slightly!!

ㅇㅍㄹㅅ It was just okay... I think the consultation with the director ended in about 3 minutes, and what surprised me a bit was that the consultation with the consultant felt like it ended in 1 minute. Honestly, during the director’s consultation... I didn’t think they were particularly nice. I went alone looking like a total mess, without anyone accompanying me (I look like a college student), so I wondered if that was why they sent me off quickly... They said there would be a discount if I booked the same day, but they just told me that and sent me off. So I didn’t leave feeling very good. (To be honest, I don’t remember this place well ㅠ I just had the feeling that I shouldn’t do it here, so I didn’t record anything separately.)

ㅁㅇㅌ I got a CT scan first, and without much waiting, I had the consultation with the consultant first. I discussed what I wanted with the consultant and then met the director. The director touched my nose shape and looked at the CT with me while explaining what kind of result would be good. They first asked whether I had photos of celebrities I wanted to look like, and tried to match the shape I wanted as much as possible. When I consulted with the consultant again, it was really fun, I guess ㅋㅋ While talking about acquaintances’ experiences, since mine is functional rhinoplasty, they gave me a lot of tips about private medical insurance reimbursement. I didn’t really feel pressured or forced to book on the same day. Rather, they said cancellation was possible, so I could do it comfortably. (I placed a same-day booking and left.)

ㅋㅂㅈ I went about 30 minutes early, but the wait wasn’t that long. The route was the same: CT scan, brief consultation with the consultant, then meeting the director. Since the director was an otolaryngology specialist, they diagnosed my nose the most accurately. And out of the 6 places I visited, this was the only one that said my nasal bridge was high and that it would be enough not to touch it. They first suggested touching as little as possible, and because this place guarantees after-service for 3 years, they said that after surgery, if I observe the progress and later feel that I have a bulbous nose (I don’t think I do... my acquaintances also say absolutely not), free after-service would be possible then. Honestly, the director at ㅋㅂㅈ definitely felt trustworthy. During the consultation with the consultant, since this place specializes in noses, there were no separate discounts at all; after-service is possible (anesthesia fee separate), CCTV is available at no extra cost (observation is also possible), and postoperative care includes swelling laser treatment every time you visit the clinic. I received formal explanations of those things and that was it!!

For now, I think I need to think about it for about another week ㅠㅠ
