Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

Day 10 after silicone removal (silicone only)

Originally, I told them I wanted surgery only on the nasal tip without an implant, but they said that during the rhinoplasty, they would lift the nasal tip and, if the balance did not look right, they would place silicone then. After the rhinoplasty, I asked them and they said they had placed 2 mm.

2 mm is a small silicone implant, but silicone is still silicone. Once silicone was placed at the glabella, my impression changed.

A week later, on the day my stitches were removed, I looked at my face, and because there was silicone at the glabella, I really did not like it, so I went to the clinic and cried. I said I hated the glabellar silicone and asked them to remove it..

At the clinic, they said it was swelling and told me to wait. They said that whether silicone removal was done now or later, the chance of side effects would be low, so since it could just be swelling, I should wait and they would remove it whenever I wanted.

When I asked them to remove it 2 months later, they said no, and that they would wait until 3 months and then remove it, so on the day it became 3 months, I visited the clinic and had it removed right away.

For the first few days after removal, because of swelling, there was almost no difference compared with before silicone removal. After a week, the swelling went down a little and the line became visible, but on my nasal line, the area where the silicone was removed and the nasal tip show a slight boundary, and it looks uneven ㅠ ..

Before removal, I had also worried a lot about what would happen if a boundary formed between the nasal tip and the area after silicone removal. They said that because it was such a small 2 mm silicone implant, there would be no boundary with the nasal tip. That is why I removed the silicone.

One week after silicone removal, I went to the clinic for a follow-up check, and they said it was swelling caused by dissecting the inside of the nose, and that once the swelling went down, no boundary would form. So I decided to come back again in a month, but is it normal to have swelling in the nasal tip after silicone removal? It has been about 10 days since removal.
