I'm torn about which clinic to choose ㅠㅠ Could someone who had surgery at Marble or Eight share a review by private message? Please share things like how they treated you before and after surgery and how satisfied you were with the results~
Clinic name: Marble Plastic Surgery Director: Dr. Kim Junhyung Consultation fee: none Photos: yes / CT: no
- They told me the ideal proportions of both eyes, the glabella, and the nostrils based on the photos I brought, and which areas are longer and therefore less aesthetically pleasing -> I felt more trust in them
- Short nose / alar reduction / silicone bridge / nasal tip cartilage & septal cartilage used
- There were many app reviews and cafe reviews saying the doctor was kind and gave detailed explanations, but for me ㅠㅠ he didn't explain the overall surgical plan, surgical method, or the detailed plan for alar reduction (medial/lateral? mm, etc.) -> I want to believe that the detailed design for the surgery is in the doctor's head and that it's just his personality not to explain it, but ㅠㅠ that's why I'm hesitating to choose
- Most doctors apparently perform surgery based on what they wrote down in the first consultation, but I don't feel like he wrote much or explained much, so I'm worried about choosing this clinic after the consultation
- I like the review photos on the app, but I'm worried because the doctor is extremely introverted and doesn't explain things in detail
- The manager is really calm, doesn't pressure you, understands the patient's needs exactly, and responds well; every word feels sincere -> but the surgery isn't done by the manager, it's done by the doctor who is blunt and doesn't explain things in detail, so I'm conflicted
- Post-op care schedule is similar to regular clinics (day 1, day 7, suture removal)
- After the consultation, I saw a complaint call after making a reservation by search, and found negative reviews saying people cancelled or had it done by a different doctor and it turned out badly
Clinic name: Eight Plastic Surgery Director: Dr. Ham Giwon Consultation fee: 10,000 won Photos: no, CT: no
- I decided to consult after seeing videos from the YouTube algorithm that showed the doctor's speaking style and content like comparisons of surgery designs recommended by patients vs the doctor (I think hearing the doctor's opinion, which comes from experience and know-how, is also necessary in a consultation, even if the patient's own wishes are important -> personally, I think a consultation with a doctor who has almost no opinions is meaningless)
- Hump removal / alar reduction / silicone bridge / nasal tip cartilage + septal cartilage used
- He explained the strengths and weaknesses of my nose -> my trust in the doctor increased; in design, he seems to have a direction of preserving the original strengths and correcting the problematic parts
- He explained the surgical plan and shape by inserting a cotton swab into my nose
- When I asked about the nasal bridge and nostrils, he explained the surgical plan / but I couldn't get a detailed explanation about the nostrils -> he didn't explain in detail whether the alar reduction would be medial or lateral or how much would be removed, and when I said I didn't want the worst-case result of having an 11-shaped hole, he said it would be possible, which made me anxious ㅠㅠ
- After the consultation, I found negative comments about the doctor -> another concern
- I was the only woman in the waiting room -> I think design approaches differ between men and women ㅠㅠ but I'm wondering if this place is famous for male cosmetic surgery, which is making me hesitate
- If you go with the event price, there are extra charges for anesthesia and the number of bones used on top of the base event price, so it's 20,000 won cheaper than not doing the event, but there is an unfair clause that they will use the entire face for online/offline advertising -> it was ridiculous, and it lowered my trust in the clinic
- If you book on the same day, they deduct VAT from the original surgery price and do the settlement that day, so that price is only available on that day -> this was one of the types of clinics people say to be suspicious of on this community, another thing that lowered my trust in the clinic
- Until stitch removal after 7 days, there is no post-op care, and they say they hardly put in any packing
