Review of sub-brow lift surgery

I had sub-brow lift surgery because of drooping eyelids. The incision was made right under the eyebrow, and I’m now 5 weeks post-op, but the incision area is barely noticeable. After surgery, I had no sensation around my forehead, but it’s gradually recovering. It was something I had been informed about before surgery, so I wasn’t too worried, and thankfully the sensation is slowly coming back. I had light sedation during the local anesthesia, so there was no pain during the surgery. The swelling was worst on days 3–4 after surgery. It’s difficult to go out for about a week. The stitches were removed on day 5, and the swelling went down a lot as time passed. They said it would look natural only after about 3 months. My eyes weren’t extremely droopy, but after surgery I no longer have to raise my forehead to open my eyes, and my double eyelid line is visible again, so I’m satisfied. I’m just waiting for more time to pass so it becomes very natural. Right now, there is slight visible evidence because of subtle swelling.

The director doesn’t overtreat. He only told me exactly what was needed and said the patient ultimately makes the choice. The director, consultant, and staff are all kind. I went there through a referral, so I wasn’t worried about the surgery. More than anything, I’m very happy that the scar at the incision site isn’t visible.
