How I managed swelling after rhinoplasty!!

My own method for managing swelling after rhinoplasty?! It may differ depending on your constitution, but I’m sharing this in case it helps.-Before surgery at It’sB—In my case, I was dieting before surgery. I mainly ate sweet potatoes, eggs, and shakes for breakfast and dinner, and mostly salad for lunch. Even when I ate rice, I almost completely avoided overly salty, spicy, or irritating foods. I didn’t drink or smoke before, so naturally I avoided them before and after surgery, and I drank plenty of water. Until surgery, I also exercised consistently two or three times a week for about 30 minutes until I broke a sweat, and I tried to sleep before 11 p.m. and maintain a regular routine..!!-After surgery—I mainly followed a salt-free diet. At first the pain and swelling were so severe that I could barely open my eyes, so I forced myself to eat to take my medication. I mainly ate egg porridge three times a day. I slept sitting at a 90-degree angle, kept a humidifier running, and always left water beside my bed so I could drink immediately if I woke up!!! I was extremely swollen until postoperative days 2 and 3, but amazingly, from day 4 about 80% of the swelling had gone down. It was still a lot, though. I organized this because I wondered whether the habits and lifestyle I had before surgery might have affected swelling control even a little.[The hardest things before removing the nasal splint!]1. BreathingSince I had to breathe only through my mouth, my mouth became extremely dry and I was scared because it felt like I couldn’t breathe properly. I even had nightmares while sleeping.. The splint was removed two weeks after surgery, but it was blocked until suctioning then, so breathing was really difficult.. T_T T_T T_T T_T2. Dry mouthI kept waking up because my mouth dried out while sleeping, and my lips cracked badly because they dried out quickly even after applying lip balm..3. Washing my hair—hell difficulty (at first)My nose hurt so much that I had no energy at all to tilt my head back and wash my hair myself. It was truly hell..4. Applying ointmentThe nose was bearable, but my ear hurt terribly.. At It’sB, I was told to apply ointment to my nose frequently, so I set an alarm every two hours and applied it carefully. At first I applied it before the alarm rang, but later, when I forgot while working, the alarm reminded me and helped me apply it without missing it!! Setting an alarm is a real life hack..5. Small amounts of blood and exudate that kept flowingI think I changed the gauze placed under my nose dozens of times.. I also applied ointment between changes. It was inconvenient having to replace the gauze constantly, but when I was finally freed from it on day 7, it felt incredible..6. Couldn’t pucker my lips after applying lip balmBecause I had stitches and the surgical area felt tight, it hurt, and I couldn’t pucker my lips at all. After applying lip balm, not being able to pucker my lips left me oddly uncomfortable.7. Earphones were uncomfortableThe ear where cartilage was harvested couldn’t accommodate earphones well, and it hurt when putting them in or taking them out. They also kept slipping out, and if disinfectant remained inside my ear, the earphones sometimes came out covered in it.. T_T T_T T_T8. Explosive itchingA little over a week after surgery, around day 10, healing really began and my nose became incredibly itchy... Pain can be endured somehow with medication, but itching was truly unbearable..... T_T[Height, shape, and satisfaction with my nose]After the splint was removed, I was given a mirror, but there was still swelling.. I looked somewhat like an avatar character or a squid-like character... My nostrils were asymmetrical, so I wore a retainer too, and I remember laughing because I looked completely like a big-nosed cartoon character.... Of course, I knew my nose would become a little smaller and slightly lower as the swelling went down, but even so, I was highly satisfied with the glamorous bridge and tip I could see at the time.
