1.5-Year Review After Releasing Natural-Adhesion Buried Double Eyelid Surgery and Ptosis Correction

<Before release / after release>Originally, when I was young, I had inner double eyelids.

Both my mom and dad developed double eyelids later in life. My dad even has double folds. So although my eyes were inner double eyelids, if I drew a line above them, the line would hold for a while. My eyes were the type where a line formed easily.

In middle school, I used double-eyelid glue for half a year and formed a line, and since my double eyelids settled well, I went around with double eyelids even without using the glue.

But they were kind of like wrinkled eyelids where I had to open my eyes with a little force.

My face is asymmetrical, so my eyes were asymmetrical too, so I decided to do a pinching method together with lateral canthoplasty.

During the consultation, they said I had epicanthal folds, so I decided to do upper epicanthoplasty and lateral/lower canthoplasty together.

The surgery was upper epicanthoplasty, ptosis correction, natural adhesion, and lateral/lower canthoplasty.

I knew it would look different from my natural eyes, but because it was natural adhesion, I thought it would not be obvious.

But after surgery, the swelling was worse than I expected, and I started getting anxious about the sausage-like line.

As I read posts about side effects from ptosis correction, I got even more scared.

It was almost one month, but the eye line was way too obvious.

I also hated that opening my eyes felt swollen.

I thought the double-eyelid surgery line and my original line were really different.

I wanted to release it, so I contacted the clinic.

They said it had not even been a month and told me to wait.

I had seen that the golden period before adhesion sets in is one month, so I started getting anxious..ㅜㅜ

After arguing with the manager, I decided to release it.

Considering how much back-and-forth I had with the clinic before the release, the director said releasing it was very easy and did it quickly.

As soon as it was released, it became much more natural.

When I opened and closed my eyes, the line had looked obviously pinched from double-eyelid surgery and sausage-like, but as soon as the stitches were released, the sausage look disappeared. All the discomfort when opening my eyes disappeared too.

Current condition??

Double eyelids form along the surgical line. But before, I had to open my eyes with force, whereas now the line forms naturally without using as much force as before.

The line does form, but if I touch it with my hand, the double eyelid can disappear too.

So it actually became better than before, and I personally like that I had the surgery and then released it.

But the lateral/lower canthoplasty scar near the outer corner of my eye is way too obvious.

I really do not recommend the clinic I went to.
