Hi. First, I’m currently looking into advancement genioplasty because of my retruded chin, and I’ll write a review of the hospitals I visited among them.
1. ㅅㅇㅍㅇㅅ Consultation fee: 10,000 won I booked the consultation about a month in advance before going. I think it’s better to book the consultation early, because they said their schedule was fully booked... The director here was really so kind. He explained things on his own, and when I asked about anything I was curious about, he explained everything kindly. The equipment also all felt very up to date, so it felt like I could understand my condition a bit better...?ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ He said that if I wanted, they could also do deep cheek fat liposuction. Since the equipment all looked very new, and above all because they seemed to specialize more in the dental orthognathic surgery side, it felt more professional.
2. ㄱㄹㅎ Consultation fee: 20,000 won I booked this place in a hurry, but luckily someone had canceled, so I was able to have the consultation relatively quickly. ㄱㄹㅎ doesn’t do ads, promotions, or events, so it had fixed pricing, and the director was really chic and gave brutally honest reality checks wellㅋㅋㅋㅋ(that was what I liked) I also liked that he doesn’t just pull the chin forward no matter what, but performs surgery while considering the overall proportions of my face. For the parts that were definitely necessary, he explained them well until I understood, and for the parts I didn’t need, he honestly told me I didn’t have to do them. The director has a lot of pride in his work, so when he has a patient, he focuses only on that person. So he said he usually schedules almost only one surgery a day. I could definitely feel that it was a safe hospital. They also said the recovery time after surgery here is faster than at other hospitals. And here they also brought up double-chin liposuction. People with retruded chins will know... that we have severe double chins....
3. Common points What the two hospitals had in common was that both have a separate anesthesiology department, you can come alone without a guardian, and same-day discharge is possible. In my case, they said advancement of about 6 mm would be possible, and that I was definitely a case that would turn out well if I had the surgery.
4. Side note This is a side note, but people who are going to have bone surgery, don’t get filler... I had 1 cc of chin filler once as an event 7 years ago, and because it’s still there, they said my bone has become thinner.... If it becomes thinner, surgery will probably become a bit more difficult. I only barely got a tiny amount just onceㅠㅜ
I went to ㄱㄹㅎ recently, so that section got longer, but the two hospitals definitely said slightly different thingsㅠㅠ I guess this is why people go around to several places..
