I had lower-eyelid fat repositioning surgery at JO Plastic Surgery in Seomyeon. An acquaintance recommended it after having surgery there, so I had Dr. Jo Hyeon-jong perform mine.
I had fairly pronounced under-eye bags, but I had been postponing surgery because I was scared. Then I heard that people around me were satisfied with their results, so I decided to have the surgery before waiting any longer and booked it right after the consultation.
The doctor was kind and explained everything very thoroughly.
The surgery itself was not very painful because I was under anesthesia, but for about a week afterward it was quite uncomfortable. Considering the minor recovery as well, I think you need to allow a month in total. (This was the common experience among the acquaintances who had surgery with me.)
Before surgery, my under-eye area looked hollow and gave me a tired appearance even when my face was expressionless. After surgery, the area under my eyes became fuller, and I am satisfied.
Overall, I am satisfied with the progress, but some clumps of fat still remain under my eyes when I smile. When I contacted the clinic, they said this could happen because I was still recovering until the one-month mark, so for now I am continuing to wait and see..!
