One-and-a-Half-Month Review After Alar Reduction

The shape of my nostrils only bothered me to the point that I noticed it, but my nose was prominent enough that it was the first thing people saw when looking at my face from the front. I disliked the feeling of my nostrils bulging outward like this: ( _ _ ), and wanted a slimmer look. At the same time, I absolutely didn’t want them to look pinched with clothespins, and I worried my nose might look too long. I didn’t do much research and booked surgery the same day at what seemed like the most famous place. This was an area that had bothered me for a long time, so I didn’t need much deliberation. The surgery took about an hour under sedation, using approximately 3 mm incisions. The external incision required suture removal, while the internal stitches were dissolvable. The stitches were removed about a week later. For the first day or two, swelling made my nose look somewhat pinched, so I worried whether it was really okay. Until the one-week mark, the stitches made everything pull so much when I smiled that I suffered through smile-suppression hell. After the stitches were removed at one week, the swelling dropped dramatically. After about a month, even the dissolvable stitches seemed almost completely dissolved, with little pulling. At first I wondered whether it had turned out well because of the swelling, but these days it looks natural and improved as much as I wanted. There is no scar, and everyone I meet asks whether I’ve lost weight, so I’m satisfied that I look prettier without people knowing exactly what I had done.
