I had a nose surgery twice, using silicone and septal cartilage (I think they said my alar wings had disappeared or collapsed, so the revision cost me a crazy amount too). It was fine for over 10 years, but suddenly it felt swollen. I got scared and decided to remove it because I didn’t want to live as a silicone-nose person anymore. (I learned during the consultation that it wasn’t contracture.)
*Conclusion: the best purchase of 2026.*
The surgery cost about 5 million won, I think? It has been over 6 months, so I don’t remember well.
I only consulted [Clinic A], [Clinic B], and [Clinic C] (my memory is blurry now). I personally didn’t like the other places, so I didn’t apply for consultations. + Some places had no openings, so I couldn’t go; it was an impulsive reservation. I booked those three above by saying, “I suddenly got swollen and I’m scared, please take care of me T_T.” Haha.
This is just my subjective opinion, but as someone who also had eye-canthus restoration, I ruled out places that have been around for too long. Of course, they may be safe because they have a lot of experience, but I felt their aesthetic sense was relatively weaker and that they focused more on reconstruction, so they weren’t for me. I was afraid that looking in the mirror would make me obsess again and have another widening and insertion surgery.
Since revision surgery is a matter of luck anyway, I decided to choose a place that does things reasonably well while still being somewhat trendy. I dislike weighing and comparing every little thing after consultations (I feel it’s impossible to be satisfied with every clinic), so I booked within a week and simply had surgery within two weeks after the consultation.
- Every place said there was a high possibility of a saddle nose, but after 6 months it is still smooth. Maybe it has sunk very slightly? - During surgery, did the director struggle? It felt as if things were stuck and not coming out well, so I was anxious, but since there are still no problems, I guess it’s okay...? - I can blow my nose, clean it, and do everything now. - Almost no scar under the nose (I wasn’t told to do any special care, so I didn’t). - Sometimes my nose still feels heavy and tight when I wake up. - Before, my nostrils were stiff because of the septum, but now they are soft and I can move them sharply from side to side. - To me, the midface used to feel somewhat long, but now it has become shorter, giving me a more youthful look.
The only drawback: because of the loss of the nasal bridge and the absence of the nasal tip, my image changed from glamorous to innocent. Chagall, haha.
Those who have researched clinics and had consultations can probably figure out where I went, so I won’t write it. Lol.
