It's already been a month since my facial liposuction! When I posted my two-week review, I checked under my chin every day while watching the swelling go down, and suddenly I'm already at week four. Honestly, I was quite satisfied even at two weeks because I could see that the area under my chin—the part I cared about most—looked less stuffy than before, lol. But after a month, it feels a little different again!! At two weeks, my first thought was simply, “Oh, a lot has gone from under my chin??” Now it feels like the jawline itself blends more naturally with my face. Instead of looking only at the area under my chin like I did at first, when I look at my whole face it just looks much less blunt than before.
I especially noticed a subtle difference when I tied my hair up. Before, when I slicked my hair back, the area under my chin showed immediately and bothered me for no reason, but these days I can tie it up and go out without that area being the first thing I notice, lol. My profile also has more definition now. I didn't get facial liposuction because I wanted an extremely slim face; I disliked how the fat under my chin hid the jawline I already had After a month, that's exactly what I like most. It doesn't feel as if a new chin suddenly appeared; it's more like my original jawline is showing a little more, lol. So I actually prefer this kind of result.
At first, whenever I took photos, I only checked, “How much has the swelling gone down?” and “Do I look a little better than yesterday?” These days I take photos normally and only notice later, “Oh right, the area under my chin has changed a lot.” I think the oblique angle shows it best. Rather than only the jawline becoming thinner, the lower part of my face looks less heavy than before, so the overall impression in photos is different!!! The front wasn't originally what I worried about much, but now that the side and oblique views are different, my whole face does seem lighter.
By one month, my biggest worry had been that I might remove too much and end up with hollow cheeks or a dramatically gaunt face. Now, though, the change under my chin that I wanted is more visible, so I'm satisfied. I thought it was fine even at two weeks, but after a month I understand why people say to wait a little longer. This is where I am for now, and I'll take more photos and compare again after some more time!! For those who have had facial liposuction, did you change even more after a month? I'm curious how mine will change from here.
